Counter-Strike 2 has received a major update with the launch of Premier Season Four. The patch delivers a new ranked season alongside fresh community content, cosmetic additions, gameplay adjustments, and multiple bug fixes.

Premier Season Four and seasonal rewards

The update officially starts Premier Season Four. As part of the new season, Anubis has been added to the active map pool, while Train has been removed, continuing Valve’s adjustments to the competitive rotation.

Seasonal progression returns in the same format, with players competing to improve their CS Rating throughout the season.

Map updates and community content

Anubis has returned to the active rotation after a brief absence and received several gameplay adjustments as part of the update. Alongside its return, Valve introduced a new selection of community maps.

Stronghold, Alpine, and Warren are now available in Competitive, Casual, and Deathmatch modes, while Poseidon and Sanctum have been added to Wingman, continuing Valve’s approach of testing new ideas through community-created content.

Gameplay tweaks

Several weapon balance updates arrived with the patch. The MP7 and MP5-SD received slightly increased damage, reduced damage drop-off at range, and a $100 price reduction, potentially improving their viability in early-round scenarios. The PP-Bizon also saw its price reduced by $100.

Movement mechanics received a major update, with the jumping and bunnyhopping system fully reworked. For custom servers, Valve added the sv_legacy_jump parameter, allowing server operators to retain legacy behavior if desired. In addition, guide maps can now be loaded in online modes, expanding practice options.

Audio improvements

The patch includes multiple audio-related fixes and improvements. Audio latency has been reduced, knife sound quality improved, and issues with overlapping sounds when switching rapidly have been resolved. Ambient sounds will no longer restart when players move between areas.

Armory additions

The Armory received a new limited item with the introduction of the AK-47 | Aphrodite, expanding the game’s lineup of exclusive cosmetic content.

Miscellaneous fixes and improvements

Additional fixes were applied across animations, surfing mechanics, and voice chat. The update also includes further optimization improvements, visual bug fixes, and a correction to how bloody stickers are displayed.
