Speculation around Team Liquid’s future is growing as the roster continues to struggle with consistency. According to a joint post by self-proclaimed insiders Vladislav Gromov, Liquid are considering a move for German rifler Karim Moussa, who is currently under contract with BIG. The report did not name a specific player who could be replaced.
Why Krimbo — and why now?
Krimbo fits Liquid’s need for a stable and reliable rifler. He is known for his structure, disciplined positioning, and consistent output. For years, he was one of the most dependable pieces in BIG’s system. The timing of the rumor matters. Liquid are in a prolonged slump, and criticism has increased in recent months. Much of it has targeted the Polish duo Roland “ultimate” Tomkowiak and Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek, who have both struggled to find form during a turbulent period. This reported interest suggests Liquid may be looking at bolder changes instead of small adjustments.
The role dilemma: AWP and leadership
Despite Krimbo’s reputation, his arrival would not be a simple fix. He is neither a primary AWPer nor an in-game leader. That alone complicates the situation. Any move for Krimbo would likely force Liquid to rethink their role structure. One option would push AWP duties deeper into the rifling core. Across the last 35 maps, ultimate sits at a 0.99 rating, with a 0.95 CT rating and only 65.6 ADR. His 0.66 KPR and 15.2% multikill rate place him well below the expected output for a tier-one sniper.
