Fluxo have a new captain: exit takes over IGL role amid roster changes

The Brazilian scene woke up to major changes in Fluxo. According to Dust2 Brasil, Raphael “exit” Lacerda has taken over as IGL, replacing Lucas “Lucaozy” Neves. Lucaozy had assumed the role after Andrei Piovezan moved to Legacy, but after roughly a month and a half and underwhelming results, Fluxo opted for another leadership change.

Exit steps up after Juve’s arrival

The captaincy switch comes shortly after the signing of Portuguese coach Gustavo “Juve” Alexandre at the beginning of February. With Juve’s arrival, internal roles were reassessed, and exit — who had already been heavily involved in mid-round communication as a second caller — transitioned into the primary leadership position.

In comments to Dust2 Brasil, exit explained that he was already acting as the team’s secondary voice, helping Lucaozy during rounds. The move formalizes a responsibility he had partially been carrying.

The role is not new territory for him. Exit previously led MIBR during his tenure with the organization, bringing prior IGL experience back into play at a critical moment for Fluxo.

Results below expectations

The leadership change follows underwhelming performances on LAN. With the current lineup, Fluxo placed 9th–12th at two LAN events and most recently exited CCT Season 3 South America Series 8 in the Round of 16 after a 2–1 loss to GameHunters.

Despite the defeat, some individual performances stood out. In the series against GameHunters:

  • decenty posted a 1.28 rating (50–40 K-D, 84.1 ADR)
  • exit followed with a 1.11 rating (45–36 K-D)
  • Lucaozy ended the series with a 0.92 rating

The numbers highlight that fragging power wasn’t the primary issue — but cohesion and mid-round structure appeared inconsistent, reinforcing the need for clearer leadership.

Decenty likely to depart

The internal shift may not be the only change coming. Fluxo are reportedly close to selling Lucas “decenty” Bacelar after receiving a satisfactory offer from Imperial. If finalized, the transfer would mark another major blow to the roster.

In preparation, bench player Matheus “mlhzin” Marçola has been practicing with the squad. However, his long-term status remains uncertain as negotiations continue.

A transitional phase for Fluxo

The current situation reflects a broader transitional period for Fluxo. Since arT’s benching and Lucaozy’s short-lived IGL tenure, the team has struggled to stabilize its identity. Now, with exit officially taking the reins and potential roster moves looming, Fluxo are betting on experience and structure to reset their trajectory.

The coming weeks will determine whether this leadership shift can translate into improved results — or whether further changes will follow in Brazil’s increasingly competitive domestic scene.
