Valve has released a new Counter-Strike 2 update introducing the Dead Hand Collection. The collection includes 17 weapon finishes created by community contributors, along with 22 brand-new glove skins that appear as rare special items.

The highlight of the update is the addition of 22 new glove designs, expanding the pool of rare cosmetic items in the game. According to Valve, these gloves are meant to add extra style to players’ highlight moments and personal loadouts.

Players can access items from the collection through the Dead Hand Terminal, a new feature that can appear as part of the weekly drop system. Once obtained, the terminal allows players to unlock items from the Dead Hand Collection.

The update also includes a couple of map changes. On Dust II, a pixel gap in a door at Outside Long has been fixed. Meanwhile, Alpine has been updated to the latest version from the Community Workshop, bringing several improvements and fixes.

With the Dead Hand Collection, Valve continues expanding the cosmetic pool in Counter-Strike 2 while highlighting community-created designs. The update also introduces 22 brand-new glove skins — the first major addition of glove finishes in over five years. The last time new gloves were introduced to the game was with the Operation Broken Fang case, released in December 2020.
