3DMAX have secured a spot at the BLAST Bounty Season 2 LAN Finals after defeating FUT 2-0 in the online Stage 2 Round of 16. The French side claimed a hard-fought 13-11 victory on Dust2 before closing the series with a 13-9 win on Ancient to eliminate one of the tournament’s higher-seeded teams.
Road to the LAN Finals
3DMAX began their BLAST Bounty Season 2 campaign with a difficult 2-1 victory over magic in Stage 1. They carried that momentum into Stage 2 by eliminating FUT 2-0 and securing qualification for the LAN Finals.
FUT started the tournament with a 2-1 win over SINNERS to reach the Round of 16. However, their run came to an end after falling to 3DMAX in straight maps.
3DMAX edge out FUT in two close maps
3DMAX opened the series on their own map pick, Dust2, where both teams traded rounds throughout the game. Despite FUT keeping the score close, the French squad stayed composed in the closing stages and secured a 13-11 victory.
Ancient followed a similar pattern early on, but 3DMAX gradually took control after halftime. Strong CT-side defense and several successful mid-round calls allowed them to pull away and finish the map 13-9, completing the sweep.
Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier led 3DMAX with a 1.37 rating, while Bryan “Maka” Canda added a 1.28 rating. FUT’s best performer was Džiugas “dziugss” Steponavičius, who finished the series with a 1.35 rating, but he lacked enough support to force a third map.
Player of the Match
Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier was named Player of the Match after producing a 1.37 rating across the series. He recorded 45 kills, 91.3 ADR, and 84.8% KAST, consistently creating openings that helped 3DMAX close out both maps.
VRS impact
The victory significantly boosted 3DMAX in the Valve Regional Standings. The French team earned 28 VRS points and climbed from 35th to 33rd place. Meanwhile, FUT lost 27 VRS points but remained 13th in the rankings.
