The Last Chance Qualifier will take place in Paris from August 7-9, giving teams one final opportunity to secure a place at the $1.25 million main event in Riyadh.
Four final spots on the line
The Last Chance Qualifier will feature 32 teams, with four qualification spots available for the Esports World Cup 2026 main event. According to the official tournament page, the qualifier will offer a $100,000 prize pool, which will be distributed among the participating teams. The competition will run over three days in Paris and use the active competitive Counter-Strike 2 map pool:
- Cache
- Dust2
- Mirage
- Inferno
- Nuke
- Ancient
- Anubis

EWC qualification process nearly complete
The Last Chance Qualifier represents the final stage of the qualification system for EWC 2026. Most of the tournament field has already been determined through regional and global qualification paths:
- 21 teams qualified via the Global Valve Regional Standings (VRS);
- 2 teams through the European VRS;
- 2 teams through the North American VRS;
- 2 teams through the South American VRS;
- 2 teams through the Asian VRS;
- 1 team via the Asian Champions League;
- 4 additional teams will qualify through the Last Chance Qualifier.
This means the Paris event will complete the 32-team lineup for Counter-Strike 2 at the Esports World Cup 2026.
