The updated Ninjas in Pyjamas roster received its first positive result after a difficult start. Victory at 1win Private Club S1 gave the team its first trophy with adamb, while the Swede himself already rates the potential of the new roster very highly and believes that NiP are capable of climbing into the top 10 fairly quickly.
First trophy after the rebuild
The new roster’s first tournament at Logitech G Play Connect 2026 ended with elimination in the group stage. However, adamb reminded that before that event, the team had only two days of practice together, while he himself had not played or communicated much with his new teammates at all before the move.
After additional time for practice, the result changed: NiP won 1win Private Club S1. According to adamb, after about a week and a half, he began to feel much more comfortable, although he is still getting used to new positions, roles, and often clarifies his actions in certain rounds.
NiP can quickly reach the top 10
What adamb highlighted most was the overall level of individual skill in the new roster. xKacpersky made a particularly strong impression on him, as the Swede regularly plays with him outside official matches and called him one of the strongest players he has ever played with.
I see this team in the top 10 soon. I have no doubts about that.
adamb also noted the firepower of the entire roster and the players’ attitude toward work. In his opinion, the combination of young performers with the experienced stavn, sjuush, and Krimbo creates a foundation on which NiP can fairly quickly build a competitive lineup.
Krimbo surprised in the IGL role
A separate topic was the restructuring of the system after Krimbo moved into the in-game leader role. adamb admitted that before starting to work together, he did not know how natural the German would feel in the new role, but the first weeks quickly removed those doubts.
From the first day I joined, he showed great leadership. He knows exactly how to work with people, understands the game well, and knows what a player needs in order to show his maximum.
According to the Swede, if he had not known in advance that Krimbo had only recently become an IGL, he would hardly have been able to notice it. adamb named his understanding of the game, communication, and ability to work with different personalities as one of the main strengths of the current NiP.
Returning to NiP became a dream come true
For adamb, this transfer also has personal meaning. Earlier, he had already played in the Young Ninjas system and even back then dreamed of one day making it to the organization’s main roster. Now the Swede has received that opportunity after his period in OG.
My dream has always been to play for NiP. It was a long time ago, but I always wanted it, so now this is in some way a dream come true. I really think we can bring NiP back to where it once was.
He also emphasized the intensity of the work inside the roster. According to him, over the last few days the team has spent 10–12 hours on playing, watching demos, and practicing, while even the most experienced members of the lineup maintain a very high level of motivation.
The next goal is the Major
Despite the first trophy, adamb admits that he personally is still far from fully adapted. In the new roster, he much more often performs the role of an entry fragger, while some positions and scenarios are still unfamiliar to him, so the player expects further progress with every day of practice.
NiP’s main short-term goal remains qualification for the Major. adamb did not guarantee qualification, but expressed strong confidence in the team’s chances and believes that once the adaptation is complete, the potential of this roster may be much higher than its first tournaments have shown.
