BIG increased their projected chance of qualifying for PGL Singapore Major 2026 from 18% to 37% after defeating The MongolZ 2:0 on the second day of 1win Private Club Season 2. PARIVISION also moved closer to securing an invitation after beating fnatic, while Liquid were eliminated without winning a map.
The results continue to reshape the European VRS race with only a limited number of tournaments remaining before the Major invitation cutoff.
BIG get a lifeline in the Major race
BIG entered the event outside the projected Major invitation range after several early LAN exits had damaged their VRS position.
A 2:0 victory over The MongolZ gave Benjamin “blameF” Bremer and his teammates an important boost, increasing their projected qualification chance from 18% to 37% according to the HLTV invite simulation.
BIG will next face PARIVISION, giving them another opportunity to improve their position before the end of the event.
The result is particularly important after BIG entered the final stretch of the season needing deep runs at their remaining tournaments to stay in contention for Singapore.
PARIVISION move closer to locking Major invite
PARIVISION defeated fnatic 2:1 in the upper bracket after completing a reverse sweep in a long three-map series.
fnatic opened with a 13:10 victory on Cache before PARIVISION responded 13:10 on Ancient. Inferno required overtime, where PARIVISION eventually closed the map 16:14.
The victory leaves PARIVISION close to securing their place at PGL Singapore Major 2026.
For fnatic, the defeat was costly. Their projected Major chance dropped to 21.7%, while a victory in the series would have increased it to 48.3%.
Liquid leave Belgrade without a map win
Liquid were eliminated after losing 0:2 to magic in the lower bracket.
The team also failed to win a map against fnatic in their opening series, ending the tournament with four consecutive map losses.
The defeat against magic was particularly difficult after Liquid built a 10:3 advantage on Dust2 but failed to convert the lead.
Liquid are not in danger of losing their Major invitation, but they have little time to address the problems shown in Belgrade. Their next event is PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, where they are scheduled to open against MOUZ on October 24.
Major race continues on day three
Alliance were also eliminated after losing 0:2 to PRIVATE, further reducing their already limited Singapore chances.
The main focus now shifts to the remaining upper and lower bracket matches, with BIG, fnatic and several other teams still able to significantly change their Major outlook before leaving Belgrade.
For BIG, the victory over The MongolZ has provided another opportunity to stay in the race. PARIVISION, meanwhile, are now close to turning their recent results into a confirmed Major invitation.
