A CS player known as JeyCS has reached level 10 on FACEIT, and he did it while walking. According to him, he is the first person in the world to do so on a treadmill. Reddit users saw his post in the r/GlobalOffensive community, where he shared the news.
Why does this matter? Most players try to improve their rank by practicing aim or learning new tactics. JeyCS added a different challenge by playing every match on the move. As a result, his story shows that a high FACEIT level does not require a traditional gaming setup.
How the Treadmill Idea Started
JeyCS has been playing CS while walking for more than a year. At first, the idea was simple. He wanted to justify the time he spent at his computer by getting some exercise at the same time.
However, the habit soon brought other benefits that he did not expect. In addition, he had a head start. In his Reddit comments, he explained that he had played standing up for four years before switching to the treadmill. Therefore, getting used to walking during matches was a little easier for him.
A Budget Setup and Impressive Numbers
The whole setup cost about $300–400. It includes a treadmill and an adjustable desk. The desk was not tall enough, so JeyCS raised it further with wooden blocks.
Meanwhile, the treadmill stats show how much time he has put in. In total, he has spent 676.83 hours on the machine. He has covered 4,331.66 km, or 2,707.26 miles, and burned 203,050 kcal.

Back to FACEIT After Premier
For most of this time, JeyCS played only in Premier mode. He was not sure whether using a treadmill on FACEIT could technically count as griefing. For that reason, he avoided the platform.
Finally, he switched back to FACEIT a few weeks ago. His reason was clear. In his words, Premier was getting too disgusting with cheaters. He then climbed to level 10 and shared the result with the community.
What Comes Next
JeyCS is not stopping at level 10. He wrote in his post: “The road to 3000 Elo is now beginning, I will see you guys on the server.”
His achievement is a personal milestone, and he is the one claiming the “world’s first” title. Still, it shows how far a simple idea can go when a player stays consistent. After more than a year of walking, he has reached the top FACEIT level, and he now has a new goal to chase.
