Right now, the eggs simply sit in the main menu. However, they appear to hatch into chickens over time. Data miner CSMENT has already dug deeper into the game’s files. According to a X post from CSMENT, the files contain hatching and movement animations for chickens. The files also include several chicken-related sounds.
Perhaps the biggest clue is a new folder in the game files. Developers named it “Pet Book.” Its exact purpose remains unknown for now. Still, the name strongly suggests it connects to a broader pets feature.

A video shared by Ozzny shows the item’s stages in more detail. It displays the egg itself, along with what appears to be chicken feed. The footage then shows a chick, followed by a fully grown chicken. Notably, three different chicken skins appear in the video, suggesting that the final chicken form may vary by rarity or random chance.
