Danil “donk” Kryshkovets had an extremely strong group stage at BLAST Open Porto 2026 not only in overall numbers. Across 12 played pistol rounds, the Spirit star recorded a 2.12 rating — the second-best result among all tournament participants over this stretch and the best figure among players who continue the fight in the playoffs.
donk almost topped the pistol-round ranking
By the end of the group stage, donk finished pistol rounds with a 1.67 K/D and a 2.12 rating. Only Franco “dgt” Garcia was ahead of him with a 2.20 figure, but the Uruguayan played only eight such rounds because of his team’s early elimination.
That is why donk’s result looks the most telling in the context of the further fight for the title. He already has a larger sample than dgt, and Spirit continue the tournament, so in the playoffs the Russian will get the opportunity not only to maintain this level, but also to add new rounds to it.
The ace seriously helped the statistics
One of the main moments of the group stage for donk was a brilliant ace in a pistol round. Five frags in one round significantly boosted his individual numbers and once again showed how dangerous he can be even without a full buy.
At the same time, reducing the 2.12 rating only to one highlight would be wrong. To maintain such a high figure across 12 pistol rounds, you need stability in opening duels, correct position selection, and the ability to convert an advantage after first contact.
dgt was even stronger, but the distance turned out to be short
Formally, dgt became the best player of the group stage by pistol-round rating. He has a 2.20 rating and an incredible 2.75 K/D — the highest figure among the presented top five.
But context is important here: dgt managed to play only eight pistol rounds, after which his team ended the tournament in last place. Therefore, he will no longer be able to increase the sample or fight to keep first place in the playoffs.
YEKINDAR, ZywOo, and xfl0ud are also in the top 5
YEKINDAR took third place by rating with 1.93 and a 2.00 K/D. ZywOo followed with a 1.85 rating and a 1.77 K/D, while xfl0ud closed the top five with a 1.84 rating, although he has the second-best K/D on the list — 2.22.
Interestingly, a high K/D does not always directly mean a higher pistol-round rating. The final figure is influenced not only by frags and deaths, but also by overall round contribution, so the order in the ranking differs noticeably from a simple sorting by kill-death ratio.
For Spirit, this is another important advantage
Pistol rounds are especially valuable because they can immediately create an economic advantage and set the tempo for half of the map. When the team’s main star wins key duels so consistently in exactly these situations, it gives Spirit an additional resource even before full gun rounds begin.
In the group stage, Spirit already looked very convincing, and donk’s pistol-round form only strengthens that impression. With a 2.12 rating, opponents in the playoffs will have to prepare the opening rounds of both halves especially carefully.
Now the main thing is to repeat it in the playoffs
For now, the main intrigue is whether donk will be able to carry this statistic into the decisive stage of BLAST Open Porto 2026. In the group, he has already shown one of the best results of the tournament, and after dgt’s elimination, the Spirit player has the highest pistol-round rating among those still competing.
If donk maintains roughly the same level over a longer distance, his figure will stop looking like just a bright group-stage statistic. For Spirit, this may turn into a real systemic advantage in matches where one won pistol round can significantly change the entire economy of a map.
