Denis “electroNic” Sharipov is on the bench at BC.Game, but he is not done with Counter-Strike. In an interview with HLTV, the Russian player looked back at a difficult year and spoke about the new s1mple. He also admitted a mistake from his time at Virtus.pro and said he is open to joining an international team again.

This interview is worth reading for two reasons. First, electroNic openly reflects on his own behavior. Second, he hints at his next career step, which matters as the market waits for the Major.

From BC.Game Bench to Community Cast

electroNic is a former Natus Vincere and Virtus.pro player. Over the past year, he played for BC.Game. The team came close to the top 20 but could not push further.

Meanwhile, the Australian player asap took electroNic’s spot. This move allowed the team to switch regions to Asia and enter the Major with more confidence. BC.Game also added Senzu, mzinho and Magisk. For the Mongolian players, it was their first experience in an international team, and for Magisk, it was his first time as an in-game leader.

Now electroNic has free time. As a result, he joined a Russian-language community cast at 1win Private Club Season 2 after an invitation from his old friend stariy_bog.

electroNic on s1mple and the BC.Game Experience

electroNic rates his time at BC.Game as mixed. His main lesson is the need to stand up for his own point of view. He also played with Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev in CS:GO and met him again in CS2. In his view, the Ukrainian star has changed for the better.

I think he’s definitely worked on himself, on his mental side. It seems to me that now he’s become even more dangerous in terms of gameplay than he was before. That is, some team mistakes might not affect him at all now the way they affected him before.

However, electroNic did not want to discuss other topics. He declined to evaluate how Senzu, mzinho and Magisk have adapted. He also refused to talk about asap’s arrival and suggested asking the team instead.

The ICY Clip and a Lesson in Restraint

The interview also returned to a 2025 incident from a PGL Bucharest match. On the broadcast, electroNic reprimanded Kaisar “ICY” Faiznurov. Today, he sees the problem in his own approach. At Virtus.pro, he worked with two very young players, and his ambitions were too high. The incident also affected his reputation in the community.

If I’d had back then the experience I have now, I definitely wouldn’t have behaved that way.

electroNic agrees that s1mple went through a similar path. Over time, both players became calmer and more measured.

What Is Next for electroNic

electroNic plans to keep playing. Before the Major, he sees no reason to rush, and after it the market will be clearer. He admits there were talks with teams, but nothing worked out. He cannot reveal details.

His preference is clear, although he stays open to other options.

I’d like to speak my native language, so I’d choose Russian as a priority, but if there are some options in English, then why not try myself?

He is also ready to adapt to any role. In his words, he has played almost every role in his career, except maybe AWP. Therefore, he expects only a short adjustment period.

Why It Matters

electroNic is realistic about his options. He does not expect an invite from a top-five team, so he will consider the offers that come. However, he believes his experience can help many teams. Therefore, his decision after the Major will show whether he returns to a Russian-speaking roster or tries another international lineup.
