Analysts question karrigan’s short-term success
One theory suggests that karrigan is especially effective during short periods with new rosters. His career includes successful stand-in runs and several teams that quickly reached their peak.
You could make a theory that karrigan is only good with teams over sprints, like over these short, sharp periods of time. They burn brightly. They burn hot. They’re very successful, but then the light dims.

According to moses, karrigan can quickly solve problems that appear during a series. Those solutions may be enough to survive an important match or tournament day.
He’s got so much experience that when he’s in a team and these problems pop up, I think he’s so good at finding really good short-term solutions.
However, this approach also has risks. moses argued that karrigan’s teams have not always relied on deep tactical structures.
I feel like his teams have never been super deep in terms of how deep tactically and in terms of protocols they go.
Instead, karrigan gives his players considerable freedom. This can work brilliantly when the individuals are performing, but it can also make results more volatile.
Falcons may be ideal for karrigan’s style
Falcons could be particularly suited to this approach because of their individual quality. The analysts suggested that karrigan may never have led a roster with this much firepower.
karrigan has had some good teams in the past, but it doesn’t feel like he’s ever had a team as star-studded as this Falcons lineup is.
The roster combines m0NESY’s AWPing, kyousuke’s mechanical ability, NiKo’s experience and TeSeS’ supportive play. Falcons also have zonic and an extensive support staff. Those resources could help the team avoid some of the long-term problems seen in karrigan’s previous projects.

The discussion also focused on how Counter-Strike leadership is changing. Modern teams increasingly use large coaching staffs, detailed preparation and data-driven systems. moses believes this makes karrigan’s intuitive approach increasingly unusual.

Unlike more structured leaders, karrigan can abandon the expected play when he sees an opportunity.
karrigan breaks that mold by seeing there are these moments where you can be risky and you can be bold.
Other analysts argued that intuition will remain important. Counter-Strike constantly forces players to make decisions with incomplete information.
The greatest IGLs still will be guys like karrigan, guys like apEX, FalleN, who can play off of intuition.
Falcons have already shown how quickly karrigan’s approach can deliver results. The next challenge is maintaining that level once opponents have more time to study the roster.
