Falcons Made Esports History: The Third Club with These Wins

Falcons have officially entered a very narrow historical list. After winning the IEM Cologne Major 2026, the Saudi organization became only the third club in esports history to manage to win both The International in Dota 2 and a Major in Counter-Strike.

PGL Major Stockholm 2026

Before that, only NAVI and Team Spirit had achieved this. In NAVI’s case, this refers to winning The International 2011 and triumphing at PGL Major Stockholm 2021, while Team Spirit completed their historic pair through The International 2021 and the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.

Now Falcons have joined that list as well. For the organization, this is not just a nice fact for social media, but a strong symbol that the club has already left its mark in two of Valve’s biggest disciplines.

Falcons completed a historic “double crown”

The key second title for Falcons was their victory at the IEM Cologne Major 2026. According to tournament coverage, the team won the grand final against FURIA and completed its road to the title after a very difficult playoff run, where it also had to go through matches against top opponents.

Falcons secured the first half of this achievement back in Dota 2, when they became champions of The International 2025. It was exactly the combination of these two titles that placed the club in a category where, before them, there had been only two organizations.

Historically, Natus Vincere were the first to gain such status. The Ukrainian club won the very first The International in 2011, and ten years later added the most important title in Counter-Strike — victory at PGL Major Stockholm 2021.

That is why NAVI still remain a special example of multi-discipline success. The club was not just big in different games — it managed to win the most prestigious trophies in two different Valve ecosystems.

Team Spirit repeated the path in a new era

The second club to reach this mark was Team Spirit. First, the organization won The International 2021, and later secured its historic status in Counter-Strike by winning the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.

In Spirit’s case, this is especially telling, because the club achieved this double accomplishment already in the modern era, when competition in both Dota 2 and CS had become even tougher. Now Falcons have entered history by the same logic.

Why this fact really matters

At first glance, this may look like just a nice statistical achievement. But in reality, this list is so short precisely because winning The International and a CS Major is incredibly difficult even separately, let alone doing both under one club brand.

This achievement says something else: the organization knows how to build championship systems in different disciplines, work over the long term, and enter games not just “to be present,” but in pursuit of the highest result. That is why Falcons have now found themselves in the same historical category as NAVI and Spirit. This is no longer a story about one hot year, but about club-wide scale. This is an interpretation based on the clubs’ results across two disciplines.

PGL Major Stockholm 2021

After the title at the IEM Cologne Major 2026, Falcons became only the third club in esports history to have both The International and a Counter-Strike Major in their collection. Before them, only NAVI and Team Spirit had managed it.

For Falcons, this is one of those facts that instantly moves a victory from the category of “a major title” into the category of “a place in history.” And now the club does not just have a CS Major — it has a genuinely rare achievement for all of esports.
