The esports world has been shaken by a major scandal: FaZe Clan co-founder and CEO Thomas “Temperrr” Oliveira has been accused of pedophilia. The allegations came from former FaZe content creator Rain (not to be confused with the Norwegian professional CS2 player), who publicly claimed that Oliveira had intimate relationships with underage girls.

Rain claims that several years ago he heard a story from Temperrr about a “threesome with two 16-year-olds.” According to him, he kept silent for a long time due to personal attachment to Thomas but has now decided to tell the truth.
I left on my own. Nobody kicked me out. I left because there’s a damn pedophile involved. That was the last straw. I knew about it for years but didn’t speak out because of our close relationship, Rain said.
He also emphasized that Temperrr’s presence in FaZe leadership was the main reason he left the organization. Rain added that a year ago he had already shared the story with other FaZe members — Banks, Apex, and former CEO Lee Trink.
Suspicious Old Tweets
Old posts by Oliveira from Twitter (2012), when he was 19, have resurfaced online. In them, Temperrr jokingly wrote about pedophilia and even said: “im just a rapist.” These posts have fueled further suspicion and delivered a serious blow to FaZe’s reputation.
The Defendant’s Position (Temperrr)
Thomas “Temperrr” Oliveira has categorically denied the accusations. He released a video statement and a series of tweets, saying:
I did exchange messages with a girl who turned out to be 17. But I met her in a New York nightclub where the minimum age is 21. She pretended to be older, and I only found out the truth later.
Temperrr stressed that he had become a victim of slander and blackmail from Rain, who allegedly threatened to reveal this information. He added:

The scandal has divided the community into two camps.
Some fans and colleagues question the validity of Rain’s accusations. A few highlighted that such situations in nightclubs can be ambiguous:

In early 2025, Banks and several FaZe members actively promoted MLG, whose value skyrocketed from $3 million to over $200 million. However, after a sharp peak, the cryptocurrency price suddenly collapsed, leaving investors with heavy losses, and Banks was accused of manipulation.
He defended himself, saying he never intended to deceive anyone, but FaZe’s reputation had already suffered. As a result, Banks officially announced his departure from the organization.
