The announced teams add even more diversity to the tournament.
- HEROIC (Sweden): after difficult months of rebuilding and roster changes, the team now has the chance to prove they remain competitive on the world stage.
- paiN Gaming (Brazil): the South American representatives are known for their aggressive style and ability to cause upsets.
- Lynn Vision (China): one of the most promising squads in the Asian region, steadily gaining international experience.
- Legacy (Brazil): a young team that quickly rose in popularity and now has the opportunity to prove themselves against global giants.
Together, these squads strengthen the tournament’s status as one of the most global in CS2: Europe, North and South America, and Asia will all be represented on one stage.
Global stars and favorites

FISSURE Playground 2 gathers a truly star-studded lineup. The spotlight will fall on FaZe and Falcons, the latter featuring Serbian superstar Nikola “NiKo” Kovač. For Falcons, this appearance in Belgrade is not just another tournament but a symbolic homecoming for NiKo in front of his local fans.
The MongolZ, who have become a phenomenon of Asian CS2, continue their rise, while FURIA arrive as Brazil’s flagship squad on the world stage. The champions of the first Playground, TYLOO, will also head to Belgrade to defend their title, while their grand final rivals from last time, Astralis, will be hungry for revenge.
Equally intriguing contenders include G2, Virtus.pro, Liquid, and GamerLegion, all capable of shaking up the race for the crown.
Tournament format
The event will take place in two stages:
- September 12–17 — group stage in Swiss System format, with 16 teams battling for playoff spots.
- September 19–21 — the playoff stage in the grand setting of Belgrade Arena, where the new champion will be crowned and local fans will get the chance to cheer for NiKo and other CS superstars.

Community reaction

The announcement sparked a wave of activity across social media.
- Legacy immediately celebrated their invite with emotional Twitter posts, receiving warm reactions from Brazilian fans. In response, Fluxo even exchanged symbolic emojis of support.
- Player Decenty shared his excitement after a CCT win against Bestia, noting how tough the series was — though the main community focus has already shifted to Belgrade Arena.
- Analysts also chimed in: the account statsmeister reminded everyone that only four teams have managed to defeat Vitality in 2025 — and two of them (The MongolZ and MOUZ) will compete in Belgrade, further boosting the event’s prestige.
At the same time, recent protests in Serbia raised some concerns among fans. A journalist from Mongolia openly questioned whether the unrest in Belgrade could affect the tournament. This sparked debate among supporters, though organizers have yet to issue official statements.
The overall mood in the community remains upbeat: most fans eagerly await the start, especially looking forward to NiKo’s performance on home soil.
