FUT have officially signed Álvaro “SunPayus” García as their new AWPer, with Nikita “cmtry” Samolotov moving to the bench. The move confirms the September report linking SunPayus with the roster and gives the former G2 player a return to competition after several months out of action.
SunPayus had been on the bench at G2 since the summer break, when Artem “r1nkle” Moroz took over the AWP role. G2 officially parted ways with him on September 29.

The 27-year-old brings significantly more tier-one experience to one of the youngest lineups in the scene. Before joining G2, SunPayus represented ENCE and Movistar Riders, while his spell with G2 included the BLAST Open London 2025 title.
He is also expected to provide additional calling experience inside the team alongside his primary role with the AWP.
cmtry moves to the bench
SunPayus replaces cmtry, who had been part of the core since its NAVI Junior days.
cmtry moved to FUT when the organization acquired most of the NAVI Junior roster in August 2025. His biggest result with the team came at PGL Bucharest 2026, where FUT won the tournament and cmtry claimed his first MVP award.
His individual form was less consistent later in 2026, with the AWPer averaging a 1.00 rating on LAN.
cmtry now joins Laurențiu “lauNX” Țârlea on the FUT bench.
