HEROIC have moved Joonas “doto” Forss to the bench, ending his three-month spell as head coach of the main roster. The decision comes just days after HEROIC won Stake Pulse Beat II, the second trophy secured under doto since he took charge in July.
HEROIC CEO Joachim Harg said the organization was satisfied with the results delivered by doto but decided to move in a different direction for the long-term development of the project.
Today we will be moving @dotoCS2 to the bench.

Two trophies during a short spell with HEROIC
doto replaced Tobias “TOBIZ” Theo as head coach in July after previously working with ENCE Prospects and HEROIC Academy.
During his time with the main roster, HEROIC won Stake Ranked Episode 3 and Stake Pulse Beat II. The team also qualified for IEM Beijing and moved into a strong position in the race for the PGL Singapore Major.
“Joonas has delivered great results for us, both with the Academy team and now with the main team. He has won us two trophies and put us in an excellent position to qualify for the PGL Singapore Major.”
Harg added that benching doto was a difficult decision but one the organization believed was necessary for the future of the project.
doto says he is disappointed with the decision
doto reacted to the move on X, saying he was disappointed to see his time with the main roster end after just three months.
“We won two trophies and put ourselves in a strong position to qualify for the Major. I’m proud of what we achieved together and would have loved to finish what we started.”
He also looked back on his full spell with HEROIC, which began with building the Academy team before he was promoted to take charge of the main roster.
doto thanked the players and staff he worked with and wished the team well for the rest of the season.
The coach also made clear that he intends to continue his career and is already open to new opportunities.
“I want to keep coaching and am open to discussing new opportunities.”
