According to Dust2 Brasil, Brazilian team Imperial are in the final stages of negotiations with FURIA over the loan of Felipe “skullz” Medeiros. The deal is expected to be completed in the near future.

skullz in FURIA

Felipe “skullz” Medeiros joined FURIA in July 2024, but in April 2025 he was moved to the bench. His spot in the lineup was taken by Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis, who was initially loaned from Liquid and later officially signed by the Brazilian organization in July this year.

After that, skullz did not appear in any matches for FURIA, with his only major showing being IEM Dallas with FaZe, where he posted an average rating of 0.85.

Imperial’s 2025 Achievements

Throughout 2025, Imperial have been active on the tier-2 and tier-3 scene, solidifying their status as a competitive team in the region. They secured victories at FiReLEAGUE Buenos Aires 2025 and Thunderpick World Championship 2025: South American Series #1, showing consistency and the potential to compete for higher positions on the international stage.

skullz Replacing Shr

In the Imperial roster, skullz is set to replace Portuguese player José “Shr” Gil, who joined the team only six weeks ago from SAW. Currently, Shr is competing with the team at Circuito FERJEE de Esports and is expected to take part in the Americas Qualifier for CAC 2025 on August 16–17.

After that, he will leave the main lineup. If the deal for skullz is signed in the coming days, he could make his debut as early as August 27 during the online stage of BLAST Open London, to which Imperial were invited following paiN’s withdrawal.

Return of an Experienced Anchor

The potential move of skullz to Imperial looks like a mutually beneficial decision for both sides. The player will get the chance to return to regular top-level competition after a four-month break, while Imperial will gain a seasoned and stable anchor who can strengthen the team ahead of a series of important tournaments. Combined with the team’s recent successes, skullz’s arrival could be a crucial step toward elevating Imperial to the next level.

If completed, skullz’s signing will leave Imperial with:

  • Vinicius “VINI” Figueiredo
  • Kaiky “noway” Santos
  • Santino “try” Rigal
  • Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes
  • Felipe “skullz” Medeiros (loan)
