Former Young Ninjas player and current professional Jackinho sparked a major discussion in the Counter-Strike community after posting a series of messages on X about the state of the lower-tier CS2 scene. According to the Swedish player, matchfixing and cheating have become so common that many players simply accept it as part of competitive Counter-Strike. In his original post, Jackinho wrote:

Very sad times in the CS scenes with so much matchfixing and cheating going at lower levels.

He also explained that the lack of a fair environment hurts young players who are trying to reach the Tier-1 scene.

“The situation keeps getting worse”

The post quickly attracted attention across the community. Many users asked whether Jackinho was referring to a specific match or scandal. In response to commentator Samuel Martinsson, the Swede clarified that he was speaking about the overall state of online lower-tier Counter-Strike rather than one isolated case. According to Jackinho, the issue has existed for years and now feels worse than ever:

Nothing special, I just think it’s incredibly boring how the situation looks today in online CS at lower levels. It’s been like this for a long time but it feels like it’s gotten so extreme and there are no real measures or pushes from any side to try to improve it.

Community Calls for Stronger Anti-Cheat Measures

The discussion quickly shifted toward Valve’s anti-cheat system in Counter-Strike 2. Several users argued that Valve should completely rebuild its anti-cheat infrastructure and introduce stricter punishments for players and teams connected to cheating.

Community member Kerovski suggested severe penalties for teams that knowingly compete with cheaters:

You cheated to win money = fraud. Team and all the players get punished if they played with cheater.

Jackinho agreed that punishments are important but pointed out that many situations still lack clear evidence. Because of that, he believes the bigger priority should be making cheats much harder to use in the first place.

Concerns Around Tier-2 CS Continue Growing

Discussions about integrity problems in Tier-2 and Tier-3 Counter-Strike have become increasingly common throughout 2026. Players, analysts, and fans regularly complain about suspicious matches, weak oversight in online qualifiers, and the growing number of potential cheating incidents across smaller tournaments.

Some community members even claimed that “clean” matches in FACEIT and lower-tier events are becoming increasingly rare. Others argued that the problem has existed for years but is now far more visible because online tournaments and VRS points play a much larger role in the modern CS2 ecosystem.

Valve has not publicly responded to the latest criticism yet, but the discussion surrounding cheating and matchfixing in lower-tier Counter-Strike continues gaining momentum across the community.
