Legacy continue searching for roster upgrades after missing out on two of their main transfer targets. According to Dust2 Brasil, the Brazilian organization has made an offer to sign Argentine AWPer Santino “try” Rigal from Imperial. The 20-year-old would replace Guilherme “saadzin” Pacheco. The report surfaced shortly after Legacy failed to land Felipe “insani” Yuji and watched Lucas “nqz” Soares join MIBR.
Legacy shift focus to try

Dust2 Brasil reports that Legacy and Imperial are close to reaching an agreement. Try recently returned to Imperial’s bench after his permanent transfer to Passion UA collapsed. Legacy plan to replace saadzin rather than Vinicius “n1ssim” Pereira. The organization had previously targeted insani from MIBR to replace n1ssim, but MIBR decided to keep the rifler. A move to Legacy would also keep try in South America. The former 9z player would continue competing in the region after his short spell with Passion UA.

Why Legacy want the change
Try delivered strong individual performances throughout the first half of 2026. He posted a 1.10 rating across 96 maps while representing Passion UA. Saadzin averaged a 1.06 rating over his last 86 maps for Legacy. Although the Brazilian team won CS Asia Championship 2026, it finished only 12th–14th at the IEM Cologne Major. Those results appear to have convinced the organization to strengthen its lineup before the next season.

dust: Legacy missed bigger opportunities
Counter-Strike journalist Dustin “dust” Mouret believes Legacy turned to try only after failing to secure two higher-priority targets.
Feel like Legacy missed out on nqz with him going to MIBR. This is after also missing out on insani. This is a solid option still though.
Dust suggested that Legacy first tried to sign nqz and insani. After both moves fell through, the organization shifted its attention to try. If negotiations with Imperial conclude successfully, the Argentine AWPer will become Legacy’s newest addition.
