Some players are born in the spotlight, carried by media hype even before their first pro match. For others, the path is a silent ascent, a methodical transformation from the shadows to the light. At 20 years old, Ryan “neityu” Aubry is about to face the greatest challenge of his career: replacing a legend, karrigan, at FaZe Clan. But to understand the man about to stabilize one of Tier 1’s most formidable machines, we must return to the roots. To the place where it was all still chaos.
GenOne: The Awakening of the “Mad Dog”
In 2021, the French scene saw the birth of an atypical project: GenOne. Launched by the streamer KRL, the organization focused on total immersion: recruiting unknowns to form a team, streaming matches, communications, and even debriefs live. It was in this open-air laboratory that neityu took his first steps. At just 16, he was the “kid” of the roster.
Alongside Graviti, the project’s star and focal point, neityu embodied what is known as the “mad dog”: raw talent, hyperactive, roaming the map with overflowing aggression. The world discovered a kid with a lively aim, possessed of raw potential waiting to be polished. This was the initial spark. But talent isn’t always enough, and after a year, neityu was sidelined due to behavioral issues. A necessary first lesson on the path to the elite.

The Shock of Professionalism: From LDLC to Nakama
Opportunity returned quickly. In early 2022, following the failure of negotiations with the project led by Maka and hAdji, the LDLC organization decided to trust the GenOne core. For neityu, this was the official entry into the professional world, but also the time for his first disillusions. After only seven months and a few discrete appearances, a lack of rigor led to his second kick.
Time for self-reflection. The turning point came in early 2023 with Nakama. Surrounded by monuments like shox and SmithZz, neityu entered a new dimension. Under the wing of the 2014 Major winners, he realized that aiming fast wasn’t enough: he had to understand the game. This sharing of experience provided a vital realization: talent without discipline is nothing. While the wild goal of qualifying for the Paris Major failed, neityu emerged with a name and a transformed work ethic.
The School of Rigor: MOUZ NXT
In the summer of 2023, neityu took the leap to the international stage by joining MOUZ NXT. This is where his profound metamorphosis began. He integrated the MOUZ system, a true champion factory that had recently produced torzsi, JDC, xertioN, siuhy, sl3nd, and Jimpphat, and discovered the world’s most prestigious academy. Alongside Chr1zN or sirah, he learned the language of European excellence.

Chaos ended: under TOBIZ’s guidance, he was “trained” to become a support player and a site anchor of surgical precision. He learned the importance of sacrifice, understanding he could dominate a game without shining on the scoreboard. During a year on the online circuit, he became a model teammate, reliable enough to finally reach a new milestone.

The Baptism of Fire: The ENCE Front
If MOUZ NXT was a school, ENCE was his first true front line. Propelled alongside legendary leaders like four-time Major winner gla1ve or the experienced sdy, as well as the young starlet xKacpersky, neityu instantly proved he had the level. From his very first LAN, he triumphed at Elisa Masters Espoo 2024 and proved he could hold his own against the best, defeating the Heroic lineup of kyxsan, NertZ, degster, TeSeS, and sjuush in the final.
But the road ahead would be brutal. 2025 turned into a collective ordeal. Stuck in the mid-tier of the international scene, the team sank into the hell of online tournaments. In the midst of this wreckage, only a few rare bright spots, such as victories against M80 or Astralis in ESL Pro League S22, allowed a glimpse of his potential. For neityu, the goal was to not sink with the ship. In shadow roles, he forged an image as an “anchor” player, capable of maintaining individual rigor when everything collapsed around him. A resilience that finally paid off: in early March 2026, when ENCE threw in the towel, neityu was already on the radar of the biggest names.

FaZe Clan: The Ultimate Test
The call finally came, and it was titanic. FaZe Clan requested him for the next three tournaments. This was no accident: it was his former coach at ENCE, enkay j, who called. It is the proof that neityu left behind the image of an impeccable soldier.
The challenge is immense because one never replaces karrigan. One does not replace the brain, the soul, and the leader of one of CS’s greatest dynasties. Neityu is not coming to lead, but to provide Twistzz, frozen, and broky with the stability needed for the machine to keep turning. Today, at 20, he is a unique “melting pot”: he has retained the nervous aim of his beginnings, but coupled it with a patience worthy of Tier 1.
From GenOne to FaZe, the progression has been surgical. Now thrust into the arena for BLAST Rivals Spring, IEM Atlanta, and Stake Ranked 2, the “mad dog” has become an elite soldier. He must now prove he can reign where there is no room for error: at the very top.
