FURIA and MOUZ will meet in the quarter-final of ESL Pro League Season 24 on October 9 at 15:30 CET. The teams will play a Bo3 in the single-elimination playoffs, with the winner advancing to the semi-finals and the losing team leaving the tournament.

FURIA enter the match as #4 in the HLTV ranking and #6 in VRS, while MOUZ sit #3 in both rankings. The teams have already met twice during the last three weeks and split those series 1:1, although MOUZ won the most recent meeting 2:0 at the same tournament.

ESL PRO LEAGUE SEASON 24 — PLAYOFF CONTEXT

ESL Pro League Season 24 takes place in Katowice with 16 teams competing for a $1,000,000 prize pool. Eight teams advanced from the Swiss Stage into a single-elimination playoff bracket.

MOUZ had a perfect route through Group Play. They defeated M80, FURIA and Spirit without dropping a map and finished the Swiss Stage with a 3:0 record.

FURIA needed all five rounds to qualify. They opened with a victory over BETBOOM, lost to MOUZ, defeated PARIVISION, lost another close series to Aurora and finally secured a playoff place with a 2:0 victory over 9z.

The quarter-final therefore gives FURIA an immediate opportunity to respond to the defeat against MOUZ from the Swiss Stage, while MOUZ enter the playoffs after three consecutive clean victories.

HEAD-TO-HEAD — TEAMS SPLIT THE LAST TWO SERIES

FURIA and MOUZ have already faced each other twice since September.

At StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026, FURIA won 2:1. They took Cache 13:8, lost a long Mirage 16:19 and then closed Nuke 13:6.

The teams met again on October 4 during ESL Pro League Season 24. This time MOUZ controlled the series and won 2:0, taking the FURIA pick of Cache 13:4 before winning Mirage 13:7.

The two recent meetings therefore leave the series score at 1:1, but the latest result strongly favors MOUZ. It is also notable that both vetoes produced the same main map structure: Cache for FURIA, Mirage for MOUZ and Nuke left as the potential decider.

CURRENT FORM

MOUZ enter the playoffs with three consecutive victories and have not dropped a map at ESL Pro League Season 24. They started with a 2:0 win over M80, then defeated FURIA by the same score and secured direct qualification with another 2:0 against Spirit.

Lotan “Spinx” Giladi has the best presented three-month rating in the MOUZ lineup at 1.15. He averages 0.71 kills per round, 0.59 deaths per round, 77.4% KAST, a 1.07 multi-kill rating, +1.04% round swing and 78.6 ADR.

FURIA have been less consistent during the tournament. Their five Swiss matches included victories over BETBOOM, PARIVISION and 9z, but also defeats to MOUZ and Aurora. The latest match was convincing, with FURIA beating 9z 2:0 to secure their playoff spot.

Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato leads the presented statistics for FURIA with a 1.21 rating over the last three months. He averages 0.75 kills per round, 0.61 deaths per round, 76.2% KAST, a 1.14 multi-kill rating, +1.65% round swing and 80.8 ADR.

MAP POOL & VETO

Statistics over the last three months (FURIA | MOUZ):

  1. Cache: 45% | 50%
  2. Dust2: 50% | 64%
  3. Mirage: 54% | 92%
  4. Inferno: 80% | 100%
  5. Nuke: 70% | 67%
  6. Ancient: 44% | 33%
  7. Anubis: 0% | —

Expected veto:

  • MOUZ are likely to remove Anubis. The team have consistently banned the map during ESL Pro League Season 24, including both the recent match against FURIA and the series against Spirit.
  • FURIA have strong reasons to remove Inferno. MOUZ hold a 100% win rate across five presented maps, and FURIA already used Inferno as their opening ban in both recent head-to-head series.

Likely maps:

  • Cache remains the most logical pick for FURIA. They selected it in both recent meetings with MOUZ, winning it 13:8 at StarSeries before suffering a 4:13 defeat at ESL Pro League.
  • Mirage is the clearest option for MOUZ. They have an exceptional 92% win rate across 13 maps and selected it in both recent series against FURIA, winning on both occasions.
  • Nuke is the most likely decider if the veto follows the same pattern again. It was left over in both recent head-to-head meetings. FURIA have a slight statistical advantage at 70% compared to 67% for MOUZ.

The biggest difference in the pool is Mirage. MOUZ have won 12 of their 13 presented maps there, and FURIA have already failed to stop them on Mirage twice in the last three weeks.

KEY DUELS

  1. KSCERATO vs Spinx — the two highest-rated players in the presented three-month statistics. KSCERATO leads 1.21 to 1.15 and also holds advantages in kills per round and ADR.
  2. molodoy vs torzsi — the primary AWP duel. Both players can strongly influence opening exchanges, especially if the series reaches Nuke or Dust2.
  3. YEKINDAR vs xertioN — an aggressive rifle matchup that can determine early-round space. Both players regularly take high-impact fights and can create openings for the rest of the roster.

PREDICTION

FURIA have already shown that they can beat MOUZ in a Bo3, and their victory at StarSeries came only three weeks before this quarter-final. KSCERATO enters the matchup with the stronger individual three-month numbers, while Nuke gives FURIA a realistic route to a deciding-map victory.

However, the most recent meeting was heavily in favor of MOUZ. They defeated FURIA 2:0 during the Swiss Stage and enter the playoffs without dropping a single map across three series.

The veto also gives MOUZ a major advantage on Mirage, where they hold a 92% win rate. If the teams repeat the same Cache-Mirage-Nuke structure from their recent meetings, FURIA should have a chance on their own pick and the potential decider, but MOUZ look significantly stronger on Mirage and have shown better overall form in Katowice.

FURIA should make the rematch more competitive than the Swiss Stage meeting, but MOUZ remain the more convincing side going into the quarter-final.

Projected result: MOUZ 2–1 FURIA
