BetBoom became the champions of Exort Proving Grounds Season 3, defeating BC.Game with a 2:0 scoreline in the grand final (Mirage 13:4, Nuke 19:16). For the Russian squad, this marks their first title since last November, while all eyes were once again on Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev — even in defeat, his impact remained one of the key storylines of the final.

Match Overview

Mirage — BetBoom’s complete control (13:4)

BC.Game put their faith in Mirage, but the choice didn’t pay off. From the very first rounds, BetBoom set the pace: Magnojez’s aggressive entries and confident retakes secured them an 8:4 halftime lead. After switching sides, BC.Game couldn’t take a single round — BetBoom dominated and closed the map with a comfortable 13:4 victory.

The turning point came from a series of three entry clutches by Magnojez on the CT side, which completely broke the opponent’s economy. S1mple tried to keep his team alive, but his efforts (12 frags on the map) weren’t enough.

Nuke — battle all the way to overtime (19:16)

On their own pick, BetBoom naturally looked more confident, but this time BC.Game fought back. The first half ended closely (8:7), and after the side switch, both teams traded rounds neck and neck. S1mple repeatedly rescued his squad with 1v2 and 1v3 clutches, forcing the game into overtime.

However, in the decisive rounds, BetBoom’s experience prevailed. Magnojez and d1Ledez provided crucial frags, while BC.Game lacked the team synergy needed to close out the map. The final score was 19:16, crowning BetBoom as the champions.

Player Stats

The significance of BetBoom’s victory

The Exort Proving Grounds triumph brought BetBoom not only $40,000 in prize money, but also strengthened their position in the Valve ranking. Following their recent results, the team now sits at #25 in the global VRS (with #16 being their peak this season). This ranking range is critical in the race for direct invites to the StarLadder Major Budapest 2025.

For Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov and his teammates, the victory carries symbolic weight: it’s the squad’s first title since YaLLa Compass in November 2024. After the roster changes in July and a period of instability, BetBoom now look competitive again and ready to fight for their place among the elite.

S1mple — the main figure even in defeat

Despite the unfavorable result, s1mple once again proved his individual strength. With the highest ADR on his team and a stable rating, he remained BC.Game’s driving force in the final. His impact was especially notable on Nuke, where he repeatedly saved his team from losing in regulation.

For the Ukrainian superstar AWPer, this tournament was another step in adapting to his new squad. Despite the inconsistency of his teammates, s1mple is already showing that he is ready to return to the big stage and lift BC.Game to a higher level.

Looking Ahead

Both teams will soon return to action at ESL Challenger League, CCT Series 5, and Majestic LanDaLan 3. For BetBoom, it’s a chance to cement themselves among Europe’s top 20, while for s1mple and BC.Game, it’s an opportunity to prove they can not only reach finals but also win them.
