MOUZ needed a third-map decider against Spirit in Spodek, and the early signs looked familiar. Spirit won retake after retake on Nuke. This time, however, MOUZ did not fold. They won 13-11 and secured a place in the final.
This result matters because MOUZ have lost many close games before. Coach Dennis “sycrone” Nielsen told HLTV that fans had seen the team crumble in this exact moment 20 times. Now the final brings another test, because MOUZ will face Vitality, the team that was their nemesis in 2025.
Why This Decider Felt Different for MOUZ
On Nuke, it would have been easy for MOUZ to lose faith. Dorian “xertioN” Berman could have doubted his calls. Lotan “Spinx” Giladi could have gone passive after a mistake in a 1v1. Oldřich “PR” Nový could have cooled off after his hot start.
None of that happened. Instead, the whole roster stayed focused until the last round. As a result, MOUZ turned a pressure situation into a win.
How MOUZ Won the Map and Slowed Down donk
According to sycrone, xertioN was the key figure. He stayed calm when rounds did not convert and gave simple directions as soon as the spawn started. sycrone also praised Spinx for his brave play on the ramp timings and called PR’s performance a masterclass.
I’m very impressed with how Dori handled that. He kept calling instantly when the spawn started with a simple direction and I think he propelled us forward a lot, to be honest.
The team had prepared for this mental challenge. For example, sycrone used a basketball comparison online: sometimes a player misses an open three-pointer, so the team simply needs to get there again. In addition, xertioN kept calling set plays with small changes based on what Spirit might have seen.
Meanwhile, Danil “donk” Kryshkovets had another quiet game. HLTV pointed to seven maps this year in which he finished below 1.00 against MOUZ. sycrone explained that the plan is to take away the opponent’s strengths.
We try and bully the space. We try and make him not so comfortable. We hit the timings that he usually likes to do.

A New Lineup With Two Young Players
MOUZ now play with a changed roster. PR and xelex are the two young players, and sycrone sees clear differences from the previous lineup. PR is more aggressive and can create plays for his teammates. Jimpphat, in contrast, was more solid and reliable, especially in the first year and a half.
PR may bring both highs and lows, but he is also young and could grow into a very stable player. Moreover, sycrone said the team’s culture, communication and energy helped the new lineup work quickly. Still, he admitted that adding two young players was a chance and a risk.
I gave xertioN, torzsi, the other guys maybe two, three years to get to this point. Some of them it’s five years. I think for xelex and PR, they’re not going to have that much time.
What the Final Against Vitality Means
Therefore, the final is more than a rematch of 2025. MOUZ have a different lineup and, for the first time, can play with the full roster. sycrone believes the team is in a very different place now.
We are at a very different place right now. It’s going to be a new matchup tomorrow. Finally, we can play the full roster, and let’s see how it goes.
The Nuke win showed that this MOUZ team can handle pressure with young players in key roles. Finally, the final against Vitality will show whether that progress is enough to change the result of 2025.
