MOUZ is entering StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 with a reshaped roster and growing confidence. Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás, the team’s AWPer, believes the new lineup has the potential to become a consistent trophy contender.
This matters because MOUZ has already shown strong results despite the changes. The team reached two grand finals, winning one, and one quarterfinal since the roster shift began. For a squad still adjusting its structure, that record stands out.
A Roster Still Taking Shape
The changes at MOUZ started when Dorian “xertioN” Berman took over as in-game leader. Adrian “xelex” Vincze and Oldřich “PR” Nový joined the team as well. Both are young players, and MOUZ is still adjusting its internal structure to fit them.
Torzsi has performed well throughout this transition. He posted a 1.16 rating over the past three months, and he credits much of this to how the leadership group has managed his role:
Lately, the structure in MOUZ has changed a little bit, and I feel like xertioN and sycrone want the best out of me, and they want to utilize what I can give to the team. I’m doing that pretty well lately.
How the Team Structure Has Evolved
Torzsi explained that AWPing in CS2 differs from CS:GO, mainly due to the strength of peeker’s advantage. As a result, an AWPer’s role depends heavily on team structure. On some maps, such as Inferno T-side and Ancient T-side, relying on riflers is often more effective than using an AWP.
Regarding PR, MOUZ initially tried using him as an entry fragger to trade with xelex. However, this approach did not work as well as hoped, and PR has since moved into a different role on the team:
We’re still trying to figure out what’s best for him, but he likes to be in clutch situations, 2v3s, the post-plants, things like this. Maybe he’s taking more of the support role, and he’s playing more for the clutches and the late rounds, which means that xertioN can also lead in the front some rounds, and some rounds he can support as the IGL.
As for xelex, torzsi highlighted a strong working relationship between the young Hungarian player and xertioN. Sycrone also plays an active role in the player’s development, reviewing demos and situational decision-making together.
Recent Results and Growing Consistency
MOUZ has had a mixed run over its last three tournaments. The team won BLAST Bounty, then lost to FUT at the Esports World Cup (EWC), before reaching another grand final at a following BLAST event, where it fell to Spirit.
Torzsi described the EWC loss to FUT as a useful wake-up call:
At EWC we definitely saw that we had some flaws after winning the BLAST tournament, and I think it’s good sometimes to get a slap in the face and realize that there are some things to work on.
In addition, reaching the grand final twice and the quarterfinal once in three events is a strong result for a team still integrating new players, and the extra game time has helped xelex and PR gain valuable experience.
Looking Ahead
Speaking to HLTV, torzsi compared the current squad’s level to MOUZ’s performance in 2025, when the team ranked among the world’s top three. He believes MOUZ still has room to take the next step. Results in Malta and the recent BLAST grand final show that the team is becoming more consistent and capable of lifting trophies again.
As MOUZ heads into StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026, all eyes will be on whether this evolving core can turn recent momentum into more silverware.
