The North American organization Wildcard continues to rebuild its CS2 roster, announcing the signing of Polish rifler Maciej “F1KU” Miklas. The move comes as a response to a series of roster changes that have shaken the team in recent months. F1KU replaces Aran “Sonic” Groesbeek, who recently joined NRG, and is expected to bring the stability that the team has been lacking.

The arrival of F1KU is far from Wildcard’s first step in their attempt to find the right five. In August, the team added another Pole, Sebastian “fr3nd” Kuśmierz, and American Jaxon “Peeping” Cornwell, while parting ways with Sonic and Swede Tim “susp” Ångström.
Even veterans have not been immune to the roster turbulence. Canadian in-game leader Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz was briefly benched, only to return to the starting lineup less than a month later. An additional twist came when sniper Love “phzy” Smidebrant returned from his loan at 9INE, though his long-term role within the team remains unclear.
Against this backdrop, the signing of F1KU looks like an effort by the organization to put an end to constant experiments and to build a core around a mix of experienced and young talent.
Career at OG: experience at the top level
For F1KU, this transfer marks the beginning of a new chapter in his career. He spent more than three years with OG, having joined in 2022 as a young player with big potential. At that time, OG hovered around the world’s top 10 rankings, competing at the elite level with stars like Abdul “degster” Gasanov and Shahar “flameZ” Shushan.
F1KU’s brightest results with OG came in 2022, when the team reached the semifinals of the BLAST Premier Spring Final and World Final. He played at two Majors — IEM Rio Major and BLAST.tv Paris Major, and in 2024 once again appeared on a big stage by reaching Stage 2 of the BLAST.tv Austin Major.
Though never a statistical star, F1KU established himself as a reliable support player. He leaves OG with an average rating of 1.02 across more than 500 maps, showcasing his consistency and willingness to take on crucial team roles even in difficult circumstances.
What the transfer means for Wildcard

Wildcard have long sought to cement themselves in the regional hierarchy, but constant roster instability has kept them from finding their footing. The addition of F1KU may provide the balance between youthful firepower and veteran experience that the team needs.
It is also significant that F1KU is now the second Polish player on the roster, alongside fr3nd. Moreover, the squad is led by Polish coach Vincent “vinS” Jozefiak, potentially creating a more favorable atmosphere for the new signing to integrate quickly.
For F1KU, this is also a chance to revive his career after a difficult final stretch with OG, during which the team slipped outside the HLTV top 30 and rarely attended top-tier LAN events.
Community reaction
The announcement of F1KU joining Wildcard sparked active discussion on social media. Many fans expressed genuine support: “Happy for you Maciej” and “Let’s go Fiklas! Show them your smile ” — celebrating that the player has earned a new chance after a difficult spell with OG.
However, not everyone was optimistic. Some supporters reacted skeptically to yet another round of roster changes: “Do we even know who all is on the roster at this point?” or “This organization has made questionable moves… hopefully this step is in the right direction.” Such comments reflect the community’s fatigue with Wildcard’s constant reshuffles.
There were also humorous takes. One fan wrote: “Do EliGE next”, hinting at blockbuster transfers, while others summed it up briefly with “GOAT” or “Nice roster moves guys.”
Overall, the reaction has been mixed: from encouragement and positivity to doubts about the team’s stability. Still, most agree that signing F1KU could be a step in the right direction.
