IEM Katowice 2025

The legendary Hall of Heroes is gearing up to host the first Intel Extreme Masters event of 2025! From February 7–9, the iconic Spodek Arena will become the epicenter of Counter-Strike, as 24 of the world’s best teams compete for the coveted EPT Championship title and the ultimate bragging rights.

The Format

24 Teams, Determined by Valve Regional Standings: the top 8 teams bypass Stage 1 and advance directly to the Group Stage.

Stage 1 (January 29–31): 16 teams battle in a three-day, double-elimination bracket. The top 8 squads advance to Stage 2.

Group Stage (February 1-6): Two double-elimination groups of 8 teams each. The top 6 teams from this phase qualify for the Playoffs.

Playoffs (February 7-9): Single-elimination bracket with the best-of-three format for all matches except the Grand Final, which will be a best-of-five showdown.

Both Stage 1 and the Group Stage will be played behind closed doors. The Spodek Arena will then open its gates to fans for the final three days of the event—an experience defined by a roaring crowd and Counter-Strike action.

The Legacy

Since 2014, IEM Katowice has established itself as one of the most prestigious and historic events in Counter-Strike. Known for hosting three CS:GO Majors, it has united thousands of passionate fans from every corner of the globe. Over the years, the tournament has delivered unforgettable moments—breathtaking plays, legendary upsets, and intense rivalries—shaping the very landscape of the competitive scene.

The Spodek Arena itself amplifies this legacy. Its electric atmosphere and iconic status in esports are second to none. Each iteration of IEM Katowice reaffirms its position as a driving force for innovation in competitive gaming, serving as a beacon that highlights the beauty and uniqueness of esports to the entire world.
