OG have officially announced that Nico “nicoodoz” Tamjidi and Christoffer “Chr1zN” Storgaard have been moved to the bench. The decision follows OG’s disappointing finish in the European qualifiers for StarLadder Major Budapest 2025, where the team failed to secure an invitation to the year’s biggest tournament.

A painful moment after missing the Major

The departure of two key Danes marks the culmination of a difficult period for OG. The team lost to fnatic in the decisive race for the last European slot at Fragadelphia Blocktober, meaning the Budapest Major will go on without them. This decision signals the beginning of yet another rebuild for OG — following a year that, despite moments of progress, fell short of management’s expectations.

nicoodoz — a short but impactful chapter

The experienced Danish AWPer Nico “nicoodoz” Tamjidi joined OG in April 2025. His signing was seen as the key to stabilizing a young roster that needed a calm, confident leader in high-pressure moments.

Under his presence, OG qualified for the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, where nicoodoz delivered a record-breaking map performance and helped the team advance to Stage 2. During his six months with the roster, he became OG’s top-rated player with a 1.11 HLTV rating.

Nico, your experience and composure gave belief to one of the youngest teams in the scene,” the organization wrote. “That strength carried us to our third Major — a journey that will forever remain one of the brightest moments in our history.

Despite his consistency and positive impact on the team’s atmosphere, OG struggled to maintain momentum amid rising competition across Europe.

Chr1zN — the captain who weathered every storm

For Christoffer “Chr1zN” Storgaard, who joined OG from MOUZ NXT in August 2024, this marks the end of the longest and most defining stretch of his career so far. He took charge during a turbulent period marked by poor results and constant roster changes, yet managed to stabilize the team, implement structure, and guide younger players toward growth.

Under his leadership, OG claimed victory at CCT Season 3 Europe Series 4, followed by their first-ever LAN trophy in CS2 at DraculaN Season 2 — a symbolic achievement that represented the organization’s slow but steady revival.

Chris, we’re proud to have had you wearing the OG jersey for over a year,” the team said in its farewell message. “Together we reached your first Major — an accomplishment that will forever remain part of our shared history.

In his own statement, Chr1zN confirmed his intention to explore new opportunities:

We’ve mutually agreed that this is the right time to take different paths. I’ll be moving to the bench and exploring my options for the upcoming season.

An unexpected decision and uncertain future

OG’s move caught both fans and analysts off guard — especially since nicoodoz was the team’s top performer and Chr1zN one of the most promising in-game leaders in tier-two European CS2.
Just a month ago, coach Lambert “Lambert” Prigent stated in an interview at DraculaN Season 2 that he “believed in the team” and saw it as a “long-term project with Chr1zN.” Now, OG once again find themselves without a stable core, with all three Danish players — nicoodoz, Chr1zN, and Buzz — on the bench.

Current OG roster

  • Olle “spooke” Grundström
  • Adam “adamb” Ångström
  • Rafael “arrozdoce” Wing
  • Lambert “Lambert” Prigent (coach)

Benched:

  • Christian “Buzz” Andersen
  • Christoffer “Chr1zN” Storgaard
  • Nico “nicoodoz” Tamjidi

cadiaN to join OG — reports Dust2.dk

According to Dust2.dk, Casper “cadiaN” Møller is close to joining OG, where he will take over as the team’s in-game leader and AWPer. Sources claim the deal has already been finalized, with the Danish veteran set to lead the new lineup following the benching of Chr1zN and nicoodoz.

The former Heroic captain and Liquid ex-player is expected to bring leadership, discipline, and structure — qualities OG have lacked in recent months.

The addition of cadiaN could mark the start of a new Danish-led era for OG, centered around communication, structure, and a return to tier-one competitiveness.

Community reaction — shock and disbelief

The news of Chr1zN and nicoodoz being benched immediately exploded across social media. In the comments under OG’s official announcement, fans on X (Twitter) expressed shock, frustration, and confusion.

  • “Yo bro @ENCE, sign Chr1zN, he’s cracked!” — one fan wrote.
  • “Chr1zN before arrozdoce? That’s insane,” another said.
  • “The two best players benched? Unreal,” added a third.

Some joked that “OG benched the wrong players,” while others shared memes — including a viral one of Patrick Star opening his head and removing his brain. Several fans even suggested potential replacements:

  • “Please sign phzy!”
  • “-ztr +chr1zn.”
  • “Flayy in this roster would be fire!”

The dominant sentiment was clear: shock and disappointment, as many believe Chr1zN and nicoodoz were the backbone of OG during their toughest moments in 2025.

What’s next for OG

Since transitioning to CS2, OG have gone through several rebuilds, and this one appears to be another step in their ongoing search for consistency.  After missing out on the Major, the organization faces a major decision: whether to maintain their international core or rebuild around a purely European — or even Danish — lineup.  Despite losing two of their most experienced players, OG still have potential, especially through young talents spooke and adamb, who continue to show promising progress. But the main question remains:

Can OG finally find the stability they’ve been searching for since entering Counter-Strike in 2019?
