FURIA and PARIVISION both secured important victories in the 2-0 and 1-1 Swiss brackets at PGL Astana 2026, continuing their strong runs through the tournament. The Brazilian squad confidently defeated HEROIC 2-0 to move one step closer to playoff qualification, while PARIVISION completely dismantled Fisher College in one of the most one-sided series of the day. Both matches once again highlighted the growing importance of momentum in the Swiss stage, where every victory can heavily impact both playoff chances and the Valve Regional Standings.
Road through the Swiss stage
FURIA continue one of the strongest runs of the tournament so far. The Brazilian roster previously defeated Monte 2-0 in the opening Swiss round before now taking down HEROIC, improving to a perfect 2-0 record and moving one victory away from playoff qualification. HEROIC, meanwhile, fall to a 1-1 record after previously upsetting Aurora in round one.
PARIVISION also successfully recovered from their opening loss against 9z. After dropping their first match of the tournament, the CIS squad bounced back in dominant fashion against Fisher College and now move to a 1-1 record. Fisher College continue struggling at the event after back-to-back defeats against G2 and PARIVISION, falling to a dangerous 0-2 position in the Swiss stage.
FURIA overpower HEROIC in battle of 1-0 teams

FURIA looked extremely composed against HEROIC and secured a clean 2-0 victory after winning Mirage 13-4 and Inferno 13-7. Despite HEROIC entering the series with confidence following their upset over Aurora, the Brazilian roster controlled the pace almost from the opening rounds.
Mirage quickly turned into a nightmare for HEROIC. molodoy and YEKINDAR constantly punished aggressive pushes, while FalleN’s mid-round calling repeatedly exposed weak rotations on the CT side. FURIA stormed to a massive lead and never allowed HEROIC back into the map, closing it 13-4 with complete authority.
Inferno was slightly more competitive early on, but once again FURIA’s structure proved too much to handle. yuurih and KSCERATO completely locked down defensive setups, while molodoy delivered several impactful multi-kill rounds to shut down HEROIC’s late-round executes.

molodoy dominates the server

Danil “molodoy” Golubenko delivered one of his strongest performances of the tournament so far and became the clear MVP of the series. The young rifler finished with a huge 1.75 rating and 100.6 ADR across two maps.
For HEROIC, no player managed to finish above a 1.00 rating except sjuush, as the European side struggled heavily against FURIA’s aggressive pace and confident trading.
PARIVISION crush Fisher College without resistance

In the second featured match, PARIVISION completely dismantled Fisher College 2-0 with dominant victories on Mirage (13-5) and Ancient (13-2). The CIS lineup looked far sharper individually and tactically from the beginning of the series and never gave the North American side any opportunity to recover.
Mirage — Fisher College’s own map pick — quickly slipped out of control as PARIVISION repeatedly punished mid aggression and weak defensive setups. xiELO and Jame completely controlled the tempo, while BELCHONOKK provided constant entry pressure throughout the game.
Ancient turned into total domination. Fisher College struggled to find opening kills, repeatedly losing map control early in rounds. PARIVISION abused every defensive gap and cruised to an effortless 13-2 finish.

zweih shines for PARIVISION

Ivan “zweih” Gogin became the standout performer of the match after finishing with a 1.60 rating and elite 90.9% KAST. Jame and xiELO also posted excellent numbers as PARIVISION completely outclassed their opponents mechanically.
For Fisher College, nearLaN was the only player who managed to maintain some level of impact during the series.
