G2 considered promoting Klimentii “kl1m” Krivosheev to the main roster during the off-season but ultimately chose Artem “r1nkle” Moroz, with potential visa complications becoming one of the main reasons behind the decision. G2 General Manager Petar Marković explained the situation to HLTV as part of the latest Prospects Spotlight on kl1m.
The 20-year-old is currently at a crossroads after completing his loan spell with MIBR. G2 believe kl1m has already outgrown academy competition, while two accepted offers for the AWPer fell through during the off-season.
Visa concerns influenced the G2 decision
G2 had an opening with the AWP after Álvaro “SunPayus” García was moved to the bench in June. kl1m was an option, but the organization ultimately signed r1nkle for the starting roster.
Marković said the organization was concerned about potential delays with travel documents because of the number of international events on the calendar.
One of the primary reasons we decided not to get kl1m on board for our main team is the unfortunate visa situation with Russian players.
G2 did not want to risk having to use stand-ins if kl1m could not receive the required documents in time. Marković specifically pointed to a schedule involving travel between Esports World Cup, Copenhagen, Porto and China.
Those concerns were based on previous experience. kl1m had already been forced to miss PGL Bucharest 2025 during his loan with MIBR because of visa problems, although he later competed at events across Europe, Asia and South America.
G2 believe kl1m has outgrown the academy level
Returning kl1m to G2 Ares is also not part of the current plan. Marković said such a move would be a step backwards for both the player and the academy, where Junyue “Junyme” Yang is currently developing as an AWPer.
kl1m spent almost a year on loan with MIBR after moving from G2 Ares in August 2025. He averaged a 1.23 rating during his time with MIBR and appeared at two Majors, including the IEM Cologne Major 2026, where MIBR reached Stage 2.
His performances also placed him at #2 in the HLTV Prospects Ranking for August 2026.
Two accepted offers for kl1m fell through
G2 Director of Esports Julius Ylänne revealed that the organization accepted two offers for kl1m during the off-season, but neither deal was completed.
We accepted two offers for kl1m, but both deals fell through for reasons outside of our control.
G2 remain open to both permanent transfer and loan proposals. Marković also confirmed that negotiations with another organization are already taking place.
We are currently in talks with one team regarding kl1m’s future, and we have always been open and listening to offers.
kl1m wants regular tier-one competition
For kl1m, the next goal is to find a roster that can give him consistent opportunities at the highest level. After proving himself during the MIBR loan, he told HLTV that regular tier-one appearances are now his immediate target.
In the short term, I would like to get to play tier-one events constantly.
His long-term ambitions are even higher, with kl1m saying he wants to win Majors and eventually establish himself among the best players in Counter-Strike. For now, his next destination remains undecided as G2 continue negotiations over his future.
