Romanian rifler Laurențiu “lauNX” Țârlea could leave FUT less than a year after joining the Turkish organization. According to HLTV, the 20-year-old has asked the club for permission to explore new opportunities for the second half of the season. Sources say he made that decision before IEM Cologne Major 2026 began.
Looking for a new challenge
lauNX joined FUT in August 2025 after leaving Nexus. He quickly became one of the team’s key players. During his time with FUT, he posted a 1.10 rating and helped the roster establish itself as a tier-one contender in 2026. The team also won its first major trophy at PGL Bucharest in April.
FUT delivered a solid Major run. The team defeated B8 and MOUZ but suffered losses to Vitality, G2, and BetBoom. Those results ended their campaign in 9th-11th place. However, sources say lauNX’s decision has no connection to the Major.
If the move happens, it will end a partnership that lasted only ten months. It could also start a wider roster shuffle around FUT after the Major break.

“Many things can happen”

After FUT left the Major, lauNX admitted that the future remained uncertain. He also suggested that big organizations could change the market with aggressive offers.
Many things can happen, especially when the big guys are coming with crazy offers.
The Romanian player avoided making any promises about his future. He explained that he preferred to stay cautious because circumstances could change quickly.
I have no comment because then if I say something and then the opposite happens, I might get backlash for it.
His words now seem more significant following HLTV’s report.
Community reacts to the rumors
The news immediately sparked debate across social media. Many fans wondered why lauNX would want to leave a team that enjoyed one of the best periods in its history. One user wrote:
FUT is doing great, I don’t see where he fits except MOUZ maybe.
Another fan commented:
FUT is the best opportunity he could get.
Meanwhile, other users started discussing possible destinations. Astralis appeared in many comments. Some fans also mentioned NAVI, FaZe, M80, and even a return to Nexus. Several users pointed out that the rumors could mean larger organizations have already started preparing expensive off-season moves.
Off-season drama begins
No transfer has been completed yet, and FUT have not announced any changes. Still, lauNX has already become one of the first major names linked with the upcoming transfer window. More developments are likely to follow in the coming weeks.
