Legacy sharply changed their development direction at the start of 2026. After a series of poor results, the organization handed the reins to Andrei arT Piovezan — one of the most radical captains on the Brazilian scene. This move looks not just like a transfer, but like an attempt to reboot the entire in-game system.
The start of a new season
Just a few months ago, Legacy were seen as a team with a clear hierarchy and a well-defined style built during a successful 2025. However, the start of the new season quickly shattered that stability. The failure at IEM Kraków 2026, losses to BC.Game and FUT, and a lack of depth on the offensive side forced management to look for emergency solutions.
The benching of lux was only the first signal. Signing arT is already a full course correction.
Why arT
arT is not just an experienced player, but a captain with a clearly defined philosophy. His style has always been built around aggression, tempo, and constant pressure, even at the cost of personal statistics. In Fluxo, he spent more than a year and a half not only as an IGL, but as the ideological core of the team, leading them to two Majors and dominating the regional scene.
However, an international breakthrough never came. Fluxo remained outside the top 30 of the world rankings, and their LAN appearances often ended in the early stages. That is why the pause after his benching at the start of 2026 looked logical — both for the player and for the scene.
Legacy have given arT a new context and, more importantly, full control.
Current form and risks
Individually, arT enters this transfer not in his best shape. His rating over the past few months has hovered around the 1.00 mark, and his impact in decisive rounds has been inconsistent. However, this is nothing new for those who follow his career: arT’s effectiveness has always been measured not by numbers, but by how the team functions around him.
The question is different — whether the current Legacy lineup is ready to accept such an aggressive system. dumau and latto have historically been more comfortable in structured play, while saadzin and n1ssim often need space rather than constant forced tempo. If adaptation drags on, the team risks losing several more months searching for balance.
Legacy are now:
- Eduardo ‘dumau’ Wolkmer
- Bruno ‘latto’ Rebelatto
- Vinicius ‘n1ssim’ Pereira
- Guilherme ‘saadzin’ Pacheco
- Andrei ‘arT’ Piovezan
- Bruno ‘RiVAS’ Rivetti (coach)
- Lucas ‘lux’ Meneghini (benched)
What this means for Legacy
Bringing in arT is a bet on identity. Legacy are no longer trying to be a “balanced” mid-tempo team. They are choosing the path of chaos, early decisions, and constant pressure, even if it costs them stability at the start.
On the other hand, this is exactly the kind of leader the team lacked after a weak start to the year. Without a clear voice in the server, Legacy looked lost, especially in key rounds and elimination matches.

Will this approach work?
arT in Legacy is not a cosmetic change, but an attempt to restart the entire system. After benching lux, the team chose radical changes instead of gradual adjustments. Whether this approach works will depend on how quickly the roster adapts to the new tempo and roles.
One thing is already obvious: Legacy will no longer be a “quiet” team. With arT, they will either take off or burn out — and there is almost no middle ground.
