MIBR have officially announced the signing of Lucas “nqz” Soares as the organization’s new AWPer, replacing Klimentii “kl1m” Krivosheev after the Russian’s loan expired. The 21-year-old will make his debut for the Brazilian side at XSE Pro League 2026, where MIBR open their campaign against B8.
nqz arrives as kl1m’s replacement

The move comes one day after MIBR announced the end of kl1m’s loan spell. The Russian AWPer returned to G2 after a successful ten-month stay in Brazil. As a result, MIBR quickly secured an experienced replacement by signing nqz. The 21-year-old joins from paiN Gaming, where he spent the last three years developing into one of Brazil’s most recognizable AWPers.

First official match set for XSE Pro League
nqz had been inactive since April after stepping away from paiN for personal reasons. During his absence, Rafael “saffee” Costa took over the AWP role. However, nqz never returned to the starting lineup. Now he begins a new chapter with MIBR and is expected to become the team’s primary AWPer immediately. In the official announcement, MIBR wrote:
NQZ IS ON MIBR! The 21-year-old young player joins to take on the AWPer role and bring more impact to Made In Brazil on the server. Welcome aboard, @nqzcs!
His debut will come at XSE Pro League 2026, where MIBR face B8 in the opening Swiss-stage match on July 1.
Updated MIBR lineup
Following the signing, MIBR’s roster now consists of:
- Felipe “insani” Yuji
- Breno “brnz4n” Poletto
- Carlos “venomzera” Eduardo
- Linus “LNZ” Holtäng
- Lucas “nqz” Soares
- Nestor “LETN1” Tanić (coach)
Community reacts positively
The announcement received an overwhelmingly positive response from the Brazilian Counter-Strike community. Most fans welcomed nqz and expressed confidence that he can replace kl1m successfully. Many supporters celebrated the signing with simple but enthusiastic messages:
- “Bem-vindo monstro!” (“Welcome, beast!”)
- “God!! Com certeza vai agregar absurdamente pro time!” (“He’ll definitely add a lot to this team!”)
- “Bem-vindo, craque!” (“Welcome, star!”)
At the same time, some fans suggested that MIBR should continue making roster changes.
Agora falta tirar o brn! Pra ficar legal msm. (“Now they just need to replace brn, then it’ll be perfect.”)
Meanwhile, others hoped nqz would revive his career after a difficult ending to his time at paiN.
What comes next?
With the roster finalized, MIBR can now focus on XSE Pro League. The tournament will be nqz’s first official appearance in nearly three months. If he adapts quickly, the Brazilian organization could begin the second half of the season with renewed momentum.
