The FISSURE Playground 2 tournament brought a new name to the global CS2 scene. Ukrainian talent Danil “molodoy” Golubenko, who recently joined FURIA, was crowned the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament by HLTV. For the 16-year-old, this is not only his first award of such caliber but also a true recognition on the international stage.
The road to the award
From the very start of the championship, Molodoy showed mature and confident gameplay. His statistical consistency, aggressive playstyle, and clutch performances in decisive rounds allowed FURIA to overcome a series of tough opponents and lift the trophy.
By the end of the tournament, Golubenko recorded a 1.19 Rating 3.0, 77.5 ADR, 73.5% KAST, as well as a strong 1.18 MK rating and +2.70% swing impact. This proves that the Ukrainian was not just a supportive piece but a real difference-maker, deciding key duels throughout the event.

FURIA opened their run with a tense series against Liquid. After losing Dust2 (9:13), the Brazilian-Ukrainian squad regrouped to take Inferno (13:11) and Train (13:7).
Molodoy closed the series with a 1.09 rating, proving his reliability under pressure.
- Breakthrough against G2 (2:0)
The young star’s breakout came in the second match. FURIA defeated one of the tournament favorites — G2 (13:7 on Inferno, 16:14 on Overpass). Molodoy was the second-best player of the series with a 1.27 rating, outplaying HeavyGod and SunPayus in key rounds.
- Loss to Aurora (0:2)
FURIA’s only slip came against Aurora, who won both maps (13:5, 13:11). Even then, Molodoy held his ground with a 0.95 rating, one of the team’s highest.
- Strong rebound versus paiN (2:0)
FURIA dominated paiN — 13:4 on Inferno and 13:10 on Dust2. This was where Golubenko shined individually with a 1.35 rating, sharing the MVP title of the series with yuurih.
- Victory over Astralis (2:0)
The clash with the legendary Danes was a real test. FURIA won Train (13:9) and Nuke (19:15), while Molodoy once again delivered — a 1.15 rating, clutch effectiveness, and stability in long overtimes.
- Reaching the final against Falcons (2:0)
A heated duel with the European superteam ended in FURIA’s favor — 16:12 on Train and 13:11 on Nuke. Molodoy had another standout performance with a 1.21 rating, once again proving he can go toe-to-toe with NiKo and m0NESY.
- Grand Final vs The MongolZ (3:2)
The tournament climax came in a five-map thriller against The MongolZ. Both teams fought tooth and nail. Molodoy emerged as a key figure, finishing the final with a 1.26 rating. His confident display on Dust2 sealed the championship, cementing his status as the hero of the grand final.
A symbolic achievement
This MVP is the first of Danil “molodoy” Golubenko’s career. Earning it at just 16 years old and at one of the most competitive events of the season highlights his immense potential and bright future on the global CS2 stage.
