In an interview with HLTV, MOUZ reflected on their confident 2-0 win over Astralis in the BLAST Bounty Season 2 quarter-finals and shared their thoughts ahead of the upcoming semi-final against Spirit. One of the main positives from this match was their successful T side on Nuke — an element that had long been a weak spot for the team.
Problems and Progress in Attack
Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin noted that improving MOUZ’s attacking strategies requires time and a coordinated approach:
“We just need to talk more about how to approach situations and how to react on the map. It will come, but we need time, and it was really nice that we could win a T side for once, especially on Nuke.”
The player also spoke about the specifics of the tournament, where matchups are decided via draft, and the impact of a packed travel schedule on their practice:
“We came straight from Hamburg and have been away for almost 25 days now. There’s not much practice, but we try to do as much as we can to improve our playbook.”
Brollan also recalled the IEM Cologne final, where MOUZ lost to Spirit, admitting that the opponent was better prepared:
“They shoot very, very hard, and we didn’t play as we usually do. It was hard to go into the final with the same energy after beating Vitality in the semi-final.”
Chance for Revenge Against Spirit
Brollan’s interview shows that MOUZ are currently in the process of finding stability on the T side, and even a short-term success on Nuke against Astralis could serve as a psychological boost ahead of the semi-final. The team is well aware of its weaknesses and is working on them despite a tight tournament schedule.

On the other hand, the mention of their loss to Spirit at IEM Cologne highlights that this opponent is the most significant challenge for MOUZ at the moment. If they can maintain confidence and add variety to their attack, they have a real chance to rewrite the scenario of their last meeting.
A Key Semi-Final for MOUZ
The semi-final against Spirit will be a serious test for MOUZ. The team has a chance to take revenge for the lost IEM Cologne final, but to do so, they will need to demonstrate a more organized and flexible T side. If MOUZ can replicate the potential they showed in the Astralis match, they will have every chance to fight for the BLAST Bounty Season 2 title. Otherwise, Spirit could once again become an insurmountable obstacle on their way to the trophy.
