Fredrik “REZ” Sterner will miss the start of Logitech G Play Connect 2026 after being hospitalized with severe food poisoning, GamerLegion announced on their official X account. Szymon “kRaSnaL” Mrozek will stand in for him, while the organization remains hopeful that REZ can return later in the day depending on his recovery.
REZ IS CURRENTLY IN HOSPITAL
GamerLegion said REZ had been feeling unwell for several hours before being taken to hospital for checks. The organization stressed that his health comes first and left the door open for a possible return later in the day.
Unfortunately, REZ will be unable to play due to severe food poisoning. REZ is currently in the hospital getting checked after feeling unwell for several hours. His health comes first, and we hope he’ll be able to rejoin the team later in the day, depending on how he recovers.
For the opening matches, kRaSnaL will take his place in the lineup.

KRASNAL WILL STEP IN
Szymon “kRaSnaL” Mrozek is currently on the ENCE bench. His last recorded competitive appearance came in April, when he played for Prodigy at Gamers Assembly Festival.
GamerLegion will therefore begin the event with:
- Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski
- Sebastian “Tauson” Lindelof
- Milan “hypex” Polowiec
- Timur “FL4MUS” Marev
- Szymon “kRaSnaL” Mrozek — stand-in
It is the third consecutive tournament where GamerLegion have needed a substitute. At the IEM Beijing Closed Qualifier, Pavle “Maden” Bošković replaced Tauson due to health problems, while Denis “Grashog” Hristov stood in for Snax at FISSURE Playground 3 after a damaged passport prevented him from traveling to China.
GAMERLEGION BEGIN THEIR RUN IN GROUP A
Logitech G Play Connect 2026 takes place in Warsaw from September 17 to 23 and features 12 teams competing for a $100,000 prize pool. The group stage uses a round-robin Bo1 format, with the top three teams from each group advancing to the Single Elimination playoffs.
GamerLegion were placed in Group A alongside B8, M80, Luminosity, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Metizport. Their opening match is against Luminosity, followed by further Bo1 games against the rest of the group later in the day.
For now, it remains unclear how many matches REZ will miss. GamerLegion have only confirmed that his availability depends on how quickly he recovers after being checked in hospital.
