sdy Shows Potential in His New Role as ENCE’s IGL

Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev continues to prove his value on the CS2 pro scene — from a tough stint with NAVI to his current role as in-game leader for ENCE. His recent performances suggest that he’s not just a consistent player, but a potential leader who’s still underrated by the broader community.

From NAVI to Monte

Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev is one of the most underrated players in modern CS2. His road to consistency hasn’t been easy: in 2022, he spent half a year as a stand-in for NAVI. The team failed to deliver notable results, and sdy’s personal rating during that time was just 0.98 — a modest number for tier-1 competition. Communication challenges and lack of experience at the top level contributed to the struggles.

Later, Viktor joined the Ukrainian squad Monte, where he achieved several important results:

  • ESL Pro League Season 18 – 3rd-4th place
  • Roobet Cup 2023 – 2nd place
  • ESL Challenger at DreamHack Winter 2023 – 1st place

These results marked a crucial phase in Orudzhev’s career, proving that he can be a driving force for success in a more stable environment.

sdy in ENCE

At the beginning of 2024, sdy transferred to ENCE. While the team didn’t immediately improve, they managed to win Elisa Masters Espoo 2024, earning a $100,000 prize — an important trophy in his career.

In late July, after gla1ve stepped down from the active roster, sdy took over the role of IGL — despite having no prior experience in this position. In the match against The MongolZ at BLAST Bounty Season 2, he delivered a strong individual performance: on Dust2, he ended with a 19/12 KD, 100 ADR, and a 1.46 rating — an impressive statline for a captain. Despite a 2-1 loss and tournament elimination, ENCE came close to pulling off an upset.

Is There Real Potential?

Despite ENCE’s inconsistency, sdy is growing more confident as a leader. His individual form, experience from tier-2 tournaments, and new responsibilities could serve as a solid foundation for the team’s future. If ENCE can build a stable roster around him — and if Viktor fully adapts to the IGL role — the team may be capable of deeper playoff runs at top-tier events.

All things considered, sdy is emerging not just as an underrated player, but as a promising leader — one who may yet take his team to the next level.
