Rainwaker’s time in Team Liquid is often remembered as a failed international experiment. The Bulgarian rifler joined the roster during a complicated moment for the team and never truly had the opportunity to show his full potential. Limited time, a struggling lineup, and the pressure of his first international project made it difficult for him to adapt and perform at the level many expected.
However, his recent performances with Monte tell a very different story. Playing primarily as a lurker and late-round specialist, Rainwaker has quickly become one of the most consistent players on the team. His ability to find gaps in defensive setups, cut off rotations, and stay calm in clutch situations gives Monte an important strategic weapon in many rounds.
Beyond raw statistics, Rainwaker now looks like a far more mature and complete player. His decision-making, communication, and understanding of the game allow him to influence rounds even without flashy highlight plays. If Monte continue their current form and secure a place at the Major, Rainwaker could soon become only the second Bulgarian player in history to compete at a CS Major — proving that his story at the top level of Counter-Strike is far from finished.
