The MongolZ have secured their place at the BLAST Bounty Season 2 LAN Finals after defeating Wildcard 2-0 in the Stage 2 Round of 16. The Mongolian squad controlled both maps from start to finish, winning Dust2 13-7 before closing the series with a convincing 13-9 victory on Inferno.
Road to the LAN Finals

The MongolZ opened their BLAST Bounty Season 2 campaign with a 2-1 victory over HEROIC before facing Wildcard in the qualification match for the LAN Finals. With another convincing performance, they advanced to the Malta event without dropping a deciding map.
Wildcard entered Stage 2 after upsetting Alliance in the opening round, but could not replicate that performance against the Mongolian squad. Their BLAST Bounty campaign comes to an end following the Round of 16 defeat.
The MongolZ in control throughout the series
Wildcard selected Dust2 hoping to challenge the favorites, but The MongolZ quickly established control. Led by Zolbayar “tikuak” Chimedtseren and Usukhbayar “910” Banzragch, the Mongolian side dictated the pace on both halves and secured a comfortable 13-7 victory.
Inferno followed a similar pattern despite being The MongolZ’s own pick. Wildcard remained competitive during the opening stages, but stronger mid-round calling and superior trading allowed The MongolZ to pull away late in the map. They closed the series 13-9 to punch their ticket to the LAN Finals in Malta.

Player of the Match
Zolbayar “tikuak” Chimedtseren earned Player of the Match honors after finishing the series with a 1.33 rating, 36 kills, 82.4 ADR and 73.8% KAST. The youngster consistently delivered opening kills and multi-frag rounds that helped The MongolZ maintain control across both maps.
VRS impact
The victory awarded The MongolZ five VRS points, allowing them to strengthen their hold on 14th place in the Valve Regional Standings. Wildcard lost four VRS points but remained 36th in the ranking.
Teams react
The MongolZ celebrated their qualification on social media with a simple message:
QUALIFIED FOR THE PLAYOFFS. See you in Malta!
Wildcard reacted with humor after the defeat, posting a meme comparing the matchup as:
Mongolian CS vs NA CS.
What’s next?
The MongolZ now turn their attention to the BLAST Bounty Season 2 LAN Finals in Malta, where they will compete against the remaining qualified teams for the title. Wildcard exit the tournament in the Round of 16 and will look to regroup ahead of their next international events.
