Stage 2 of the BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 2 Round of 16 brought two matches that ended in “clean” victories for the favorites. The MongolZ and MOUZ had little trouble overcoming their opponents and secured tickets to the upcoming LAN Finals of the tournament.
The MongolZ 2–0 paiN — The Mongolian Machine With No Brakes
Before the start of the series, paiN (seed #13) had the right to choose their opponent and unexpectedly went for The MongolZ (seed #4). Many saw this move from the Brazilians as a gamble — and they weren’t wrong.
Dust2 (paiN pick) — 11:13
The first map was expected to be paiN’s trump card, but the start was evenly matched. The first half ended with a minimal lead for The MongolZ (8:4), and even after the side switch, paiN managed to bring back some intrigue. However, crucial rounds in the middle of the second half slipped away due to individual brilliance from Techno and 910. Final score — 13:11 for The MongolZ.
Ancient (The MongolZ pick) — 13:10
On their own pick, the Mongolian squad looked even more confident. Starting on the T side, they quickly racked up 7 rounds before halftime, using fast A hits and late-round plays toward B. On defense, The MongolZ kept the game under control, with paiN only managing to close the gap to -2 before bLitz sealed the map with back-to-back 1v1 clutches.

Player of the Match — Sodbayar “Techno” Munkhbold
Techno was the backbone of The MongolZ in this series. His consistency in duels, confident entry kills, and ability to win crucial rounds made him the key factor in victory. Several moments on Ancient stood out in particular, where he held a site alone against superior numbers.
B8 0–2 MOUZ — No Chances for the Ukrainian Squad
B8 (seed #15) decided to challenge the second seed, MOUZ, but the match showed the difference between fighting hard and having a realistic chance to win.
Ancient (B8 pick) — 5:13
B8 picked Ancient but had a disastrous start — just 5 rounds on T side, two of which came from the pistol round and the following force buy. torzsi set the tone early, shutting down key rounds with AWP kills, while xertioN brought chaos with his mid pushes.
Train (MOUZ pick) — 13:11
On the second map, B8 looked much better, leading 9:3 after the first half. However, after the side switch, MOUZ pulled off one of the most impressive comebacks of the stage — 10 consecutive defensive rounds. In the climax, Spinx delivered a double entry on B that completely broke B8’s economy.

Player of the Match — Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás
torzsi was MOUZ’s main weapon, especially on Ancient, where he neutralized any attempt from B8 to control key areas. His AWP precision and composure in clutches gave MOUZ breathing room and allowed them to build momentum in Train’s second half.
