GamerLegion will use Pavle “Maden” Bošković instead of Sebastian “Tauson” Tauson Lindelof in the IEM Beijing 2026 Closed Qualifier, with Tauson unavailable due to health reasons. GamerLegion announced the substitution ahead of the online qualifier, which begins on September 2.
Later, Tauson revealed to Dust2.dk that he has spent several days in hospital after being diagnosed with reactive arthritis. The condition initially affected his knee before also reaching his left hand, leaving him unable to play.
Maden returns as a stand-in for GamerLegion
Maden will join GamerLegion for the 16-team IEM Beijing Closed Qualifier, which runs from September 2–4 in a double-elimination format. Two teams will earn spots at IEM Beijing 2026, with GamerLegion opening their run against Nuclear TigeRES.
The 27-year-old is currently without an organization. His most recent permanent roster was fnatic, which moved him to the bench in March before Maden became a free agent in April.
GamerLegion enter the qualifier as one of the highest-ranked participants, making the late substitution particularly important with only a limited number of opportunities remaining on their calendar before the next Major invite cut.

Tauson has spent several days in hospital
Tauson told Dust2.dk that he had been hospitalized for four to five days after developing reactive arthritis. According to the 21-year-old, the condition first appeared in his knee and later affected his left hand, preventing him from playing Counter-Strike.
Doctors told Tauson that it could take between one and three weeks for the condition to fully clear. He was hoping to leave hospital on September 1 but said the exact recovery time remained uncertain.
“The timing couldn’t be worse”
The absence comes during an important part of the season for GamerLegion, with several tournaments ahead that could affect their path toward the Major.

Tauson said he will take the recovery day by day and try to return as quickly as possible. He has been part of GamerLegion since September 2024 and has appeared at three Majors with the organization, while also helping the roster finish second at IEM Atlanta 2026.
Tauson still plans to return for FISSURE Playground 3
Despite the diagnosis, Tauson currently expects to play at FISSURE Playground 3, which takes place in China next week. His focus is now on recovering in time to rejoin GamerLegion for the event.
The plan is still for me to play at FISSURE.
For now, Maden will take his place as GamerLegion begin the IEM Beijing 2026 Closed Qualifier against Nuclear TigeRES on September 2. Two qualification spots for the main event are available.
