BC.Game were eliminated from the first Stake Pulse Beat III Open Qualifier after losing 8:13 to Xcity in a Bo1. It became the seventh consecutive unsuccessful qualification attempt for the current roster built around Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev.
BC.GAME WERE ELIMINATED IN THE FOURTH ROUND
Stake Pulse Beat III qualifiers use a Single Elimination format, with all matches before the final played as Bo1. BC.Game made it to Round 4 before their run was stopped by Xcity.
BC.Game lost the match 8:13 and were eliminated from the first qualifier, while Xcity continued their run through the bracket.
s1mple finished the match with a 0.92 rating. Denis “electroNic” Sharipov struggled even more and ended at 0.76, while only one BC.Game player finished above a 1.00 rating.
SEVEN FAILED QUALIFICATION ATTEMPTS IN A ROW
The current BC.Game roster have now failed to win any of the seven qualification attempts they have played since the lineup was completed.

Their sixth failure came against Esport Academy Copenhagen in the second PGL Masters Bucharest qualifier, where BC.Game lost 11:13 on Nuke. The defeat to Xcity extends the streak to seven unsuccessful attempts.
TAZ HAD ALREADY SPOKEN ABOUT THE IMPACT OF THE QUALIFIERS
The latest elimination comes shortly after Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas discussed the effect the previous qualifier failures had on the team.
In a BC.Game YouTube video, TaZ said the repeated qualification attempts had taken a heavy toll on the roster rather than providing the progress they had hoped for. He pointed to work on the tactical pool with Emil “Magisk” Reif as one of the main positives from the recent bootcamp.
Overall, playing these qualifiers did not really benefit us. It was a heavy blow for the team. But if there is one area where we improved, I would say it was our tactical pool.
TaZ also said BC.Game continued reviewing matches together and spending time as a team, while using a slightly different approach to the bootcamp compared to their usual team-building schedule.
ONE MORE CHANCE TO REACH STAKE PULSE BEAT III
BC.Game still have one more opportunity to qualify. The second Stake Pulse Beat III Open Qualifier will be played on September 16, starting at 12:00 CET.
Each qualifier awards one place at the Main Event. Early rounds are Bo1, while the deciding final is played as a Bo3.
Stake Pulse Beat III will run from October 12 to 17 in Sweden and feature 16 teams. Fourteen places are distributed through the VRS-based registration system, while the final two are awarded through the open qualifiers. The tournament has a guaranteed $80,000 prize pool.
The second qualifier will therefore be the eighth qualification attempt for the current BC.Game roster and their final direct chance to earn one of the two Open Qualifier spots.
