Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev and BC.Game have finally qualified for a LAN after seven consecutive failed qualification attempts. The team defeated Sashi 2:1 in the final of the second Stake Pulse Beat III Open Qualifier, completing a reverse sweep to secure the last available spot at the $80,000 event in Stockholm.
EIGHTH ATTEMPT ENDS THE LOSING STREAK
BC.Game entered the second qualifier only one day after a disappointing exit from the first attempt, where they lost 8:13 to Xcity, a team ranked #325 in the VRS. That result extended the current roster streak to seven failed qualification attempts.
The second run was not easy either. BC.Game defeated BRUTE 13:8 before surviving a close 13:11 match against Phantom on Inferno to reach the deciding Bo3.
Sashi then took the opening map of the final, winning Inferno 16:14 in overtime. BC.Game responded decisively, closing Dust2 13:6 and Ancient by the same 13:6 score to complete the reverse sweep and finally secure a LAN spot.
S1MPLE FINISHED THE FINAL WITH 66 KILLS
s1mple was the main individual performer for BC.Game in the deciding series. The AWPer finished the three maps with 66 kills and 38 deaths, posting 86.1 ADR, a 1.74 K/D ratio and 0.97 kills per round. Pley also highlighted the 66-kill performance after BC.Game secured qualification.
The performance helped BC.Game recover after losing a close overtime opener and comfortably control the final two maps.
BC.GAME FINALLY BREAK THEIR QUALIFIER CURSE
The result ends a difficult online period for the new roster. Before this victory, BC.Game had failed to qualify through attempts connected to Esports World Cup 2026, Stake Pulse Beat II, IEM Beijing 2026, both PGL Masters Bucharest qualifiers and the first Stake Pulse Beat III qualifier.
HLTV noted that some of those early exits came before VRS-covered rounds, limiting the damage to BC.Game position in the race for the Singapore Major, but the repeated failures still exposed problems for the newly built lineup.
The qualification also comes shortly after Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas admitted that constantly playing qualifiers had taken a heavy toll on the team, while identifying improvements to the tactical pool as one of the main positives from their recent work.
This time, BC.Game finally converted the opportunity.
STAKE PULSE BEAT III AWAITS
Stake Pulse Beat III will take place in Stockholm from October 12 to 17, with 16 teams competing for an $80,000 prize pool. BC.Game claimed the final spot through Open Qualifier 2 and join a field that includes Astralis, B8, Liquid, HEROIC, MIBR, 100 Thieves and Ninjas in Pyjamas.
The event will begin with a GSL Bo3 group stage before moving into Single Elimination Bo3 playoffs.
For BC.Game, the Swedish LAN will be the reward for finally ending a seven-qualifier losing streak on their eighth attempt.
