Vitality could target historic CS records in 2026

Vitality has long moved beyond the status of simply the strongest team of the moment and is increasingly heading toward historical significance. That is why a new list of potential goals for 2026 is perceived not as social media fantasy, but as an attempt to define the ceiling this team can realistically reach.

SPUNJ’s list sounds crazy, but that is exactly its strength

SPUNJ compiled a full set of possible achievements for Vitality in 2026 — from new tournament streaks to challenges against historic records from the NiP and Astralis eras. apEX also reacted to this list, briefly but tellingly replying in essence: “you guys are just crazy.”

This reaction perfectly captures the tone of the story. When a team is already so strong that its potential goals include not just another title but an attempt to break era-defining records, the line between a joke and a real possibility becomes dangerously thin. Vitality is exactly at that point right now.

Some of these goals sound loud, but no longer unrealistic

The list includes several layers of ambition. One is made up of big but still grounded achievements: winning several more tournaments in a row, securing another major title, pushing the season toward a double Grand Slam. The other is almost historical-mythical: breaking NiP’s map streak record, winning a third consecutive Major, and entering the territory usually reserved only for the greatest rosters in Counter-Strike history.

The most interesting part is that Vitality itself created this perception. The team is in dominant form, clearly the number one in the world without serious dispute, and moves through tournaments as if its main challenge is no longer its opponents, but the standard it keeps raising for itself. That is why even very bold scenarios no longer feel completely detached from reality.

The main intrigue is not whether Vitality will win more, but how far they can go

It is important to frame this correctly. For Vitality, the question is no longer whether the team can win another trophy. At this stage, the real question is different: can it turn momentary dominance into historical dominance?

SPUNJ’s list is interesting precisely because it divides Vitality’s future into several steps:

  • first, consolidate current dominance with more titles;
  • then, attack long-term achievements across a full season;
  • and finally, aim for records that live not in weekly headlines, but in the collective memory of the entire scene.

This transition from “the best team right now” to “one of the greatest teams ever” is what makes 2026 so important for Vitality. The team is already strong enough for this conversation to be taken seriously, but it has not yet crossed that final stretch that separates a great season from a lasting legacy.

apEX is not laughing for nothing — the pressure of such expectations is also crazy

apEX’s reaction to the list is also valuable because it highlights the other side of the story. These “quests” sound great on social media, but for the team they represent an almost absurd level of expectation. When people expect not just victories, but history rewriting, any imperfect tournament automatically starts to look like a failure.

This is the paradox of current Vitality. The team is so good that it is no longer judged by a normal scale. For most top teams, a strong season means a few finals and a couple of titles. For this Vitality, a strong season increasingly means: did they get closer to something that will outlast 2026 itself?

Vitality is already competing not only against opponents, but against history

SPUNJ’s list of goals and apEX’s laughter together perfectly describe Vitality’s current status. On one hand, some of these ambitions sound crazy. On the other, the team has already done enough for such discussions to feel justified rather than exaggerated.

The key point is that Vitality is entering a rare phase for any roster: its season is now measured not only by titles, but by how close it gets to the historical limits of Counter-Strike. And if this form continues, apEX’s laughter may ultimately turn out to be not a reaction to the absurdity of the list, but to the fact that part of it may soon stop being a joke.
