The lower bracket semi-finals of CS Asia Championships 2026 delivered two intense elimination series as MOUZ and The MongolZ secured important victories to continue their tournament runs. MOUZ survived a difficult three-map battle against M80, while The MongolZ recovered after losing Mirage to eliminate Liquid in another close playoff series.
MOUZ crush Mirage to eliminate M80
MOUZ opened the series in dominant fashion on Overpass. The European squad shut down M80 from the very beginning and controlled nearly every important duel across the map. Dorian “xertioN” Berman delivered a huge performance as MOUZ stormed to a one-sided 13-3 victory.
M80 answered back on Inferno. Mason “Lake” Sanderson and Michael “Swisher” Schmid helped stabilize the North American side, while MOUZ struggled to convert several key mid-round advantages. M80 secured Inferno 13-10 and forced a decider.
Mirage quickly became another disaster for M80. MOUZ dominated the map from start to finish and allowed only two rounds during the entire game. xertioN once again took over the server with aggressive entries and constant impact kills. Meanwhile, Spinx and xeleX repeatedly punished M80’s rotations. MOUZ closed Mirage 13-2 to secure the series 2-1.

xertioN becomes the key difference-maker

Dorian “xertioN” Berman delivered one of the strongest individual performances of the day. He finished the series with a massive 1.77 rating and 104.9 ADR. Adrian “xeleX” Vincze also impressed with a 1.29 rating during the dominant maps. For M80, Lake remained their best player despite the elimination. However, the North American side completely collapsed on both Overpass and Mirage.

The MongolZ survive Liquid comeback attempt
The second lower-bracket semi-final between The MongolZ and Liquid became a much closer battle. Liquid opened the series with a strong Mirage performance, where Roland “ultimate” Tomkowiak repeatedly won crucial duels and helped his team edge out a tight 13-11 victory.
Inferno completely shifted the momentum. The MongolZ looked far more aggressive on the T side and constantly overwhelmed Liquid’s defensive setups. Ayush “mzinho” Batbold and Usukhbayar “910” Banzragch created continuous pressure around the bombsites as the Mongolian squad secured a confident 13-7 win.
Nuke ultimately decided the series. Liquid attempted several comeback rounds during the second half, but The MongolZ looked calmer in late-round situations and repeatedly punished Liquid’s risky rotations. 910 and cobrazera delivered several crucial impact rounds as The MongolZ closed the map 13-9 and secured the series 2-1.

ultimate shines despite Liquid elimination

Although Liquid lost the series, Roland “ultimate” Tomkowiak remained the standout player on the server with a 1.33 rating and several important rounds across all three maps. For The MongolZ, 910 finished with a 1.23 rating. At the same time, mzinho and cobrazera also delivered highly impactful performances during the comeback victory.
VRS impact after the matches
The lower-bracket results also changed the Valve Regional Standings:
- MOUZ: +17 points → 1823 VRS points
- M80: -2 points → 1389 VRS points
- The MongolZ: +6 points → 1774 VRS points
- Liquid: -2 points → 1327 VRS points
