How CS2 to Overwatch 2 conversion works

Overwatch 2 moves the camera 0.0066° per count at sensitivity 1, against 0.022° in CS2. Each sensitivity unit in OW2 is 3.333 times smaller, so the number you type in grows: CS2 1.5 becomes 5.000 in Overwatch 2.

Pick your CS2 sensitivity and DPI in the converter above; the target game is already set to Overwatch 2. You get the OW2 value plus cm/360°, in/360° and eDPI for your current setup. A different DPI for Overwatch goes into the DPI field under Convert To.

CS2 to Overwatch 2 formula

OW2 sens = CS2 sens × 0.022 / 0.0066 = CS2 sens × 3.333. To go back from Overwatch 2 to CS2, multiply by 0.3. At 800 DPI, CS2 2.0 and OW2 6.667 both give 25.98 cm/360°.

Hero settings that override the conversion

Overwatch 2 lets you set sensitivity per hero. A converted value in the general controls is replaced by any hero-specific value, so check those if one hero feels off.

Scoped heroes such as Widowmaker, Ana and Ashe also have Relative Aim Sensitivity While Zoomed. That setting decides how fast you turn while scoped and isn’t part of the hipfire conversion.

faq

  • Why are Overwatch 2 sensitivity numbers so much higher?

OW2 uses a finer scale. One unit turns the camera 0.0066°, less than a third of CS2’s 0.022°, so it takes a bigger number to cover the same distance.

  • Is CS2 to Overwatch 2 the same as CS2 to Warzone?

Yes. Both Overwatch 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone use 0.0066° per count, so the converted hipfire value is identical.

  • Does the converter account for per-hero sensitivity?

No. It gives one hipfire value for the general setting. If you use hero-specific sensitivity, enter the same converted number there or adjust it per hero.
