Why CS2 sensitivity converts 1:1 to Team Fortress 2
Team Fortress 2 is Valve’s class shooter on the Source engine, and it moves the camera 0.022° per count at sensitivity 1, exactly like CS2. Same DPI, same number: CS2 2.2 is TF2 2.2. (Titanfall 2 also gets called TF2; this page is about Team Fortress 2.)
The converter is useful when DPI changes. CS2 2.2 at 400 DPI becomes TF2 1.100 at 800 DPI. It also shows your cm/360°, in/360° and eDPI.
CS2 to TF2 formula
TF2 sens = CS2 sens × CS2 DPI ÷ TF2 DPI. The multiplier is 1 when DPI stays the same, and the value can go into the menu or the console as sensitivity 2.2.
CS2 to TF2 sensitivity table
CS2 sensitivity (800 DPI) | eDPI | cm/360° | Team Fortress 2 sens (800 DPI) | Team Fortress 2 sens (1600 DPI) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 800 | 51.95 | 1.000 | 0.500 |
1.25 | 1000 | 41.56 | 1.250 | 0.625 |
1.5 | 1200 | 34.64 | 1.500 | 0.750 |
2 | 1600 | 25.98 | 2.000 | 1.000 |
2.5 | 2000 | 20.78 | 2.500 | 1.250 |
Raw input and class differences
CS2 always uses raw input, while TF2 controls it with m_rawinput. Set m_rawinput 1 so Windows pointer settings don’t interfere with the converted value.
Hitscan classes like Scout and Sniper tend to feel closest to CS2. Projectile classes such as Soldier and Demoman need leading rather than flicking, and some players run a different sensitivity per class through class configs.
